There are many reasons I’m thankful that the Internet was invented. Without it, how would I get beer and cookies delivered to me without leaving the house or speaking to a human being? How would I read celebrity gossip without having to pay actual monies to a garbage tabloid magazine? Need another reason to love dogs? Today I learned that there are dogs trained to be therapy for traumatized children. According to the New York Times , Rosie the golden retriever recently helped a 15-year-old girl testify in court that her father raped her, and had gotten her pregnant. I never knew what it was like to lose a dear pet. My family has had our share of pet fish - RIP Tokyo and Jelly - and my feeder mice, Meece Witherspoon and Meeces Pieces, both died while I was away at college. Here at the BUST offices we spent most of our days working on the current issue of the magazine. The rest if the time however, is spent looking at cute animal videos, playing a current blog post themed game of charades and discussing things like moon cups and plush stuffed reproductive organs.
