In a reality show meets crazy fashion success story, Onch of Paris Hilton's My New BFF 2008-2009 has become Nicki Minaj's sort of go-to-guy for crazy food-related jewelry, which includes this hot pink fried chicken wing necklace from a recent appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. I'm kind of obsessed with how ridiculous this looks. The necklace is so bad, that its gone past bad and into awesome, which probably describes most of Nick Minaj's wardrobe. The ... Read More
I honestly haven't kept up with every collection in NYC, London, or Milan but I've looked up and come across a few over the past few weeks. One Spring/Summer 2012 collection at London's Fashion Week that instantly caught my eye and definitely made me smile was the collection by Meadham Kirchhoff . Designers Ed Meadham and Ben Kirchhoff created a fun, whimsical collection titled "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing," and from smiley-face/ ... Read More
As London Fashion Week rages on, I look to blogs such as KrisAtomic and Facehunter for great looks from overseas. Sadly, this post is the last of my Fashion Week photos. It was a fabulous week filled with style at every glance and I look forward to the street style of seasons to come! For now, enjoy my last bit of NYC Fashion Week. Above you've got Garance Dore and Scott Schuman of The Satorialist congregating outside ... Read More
This street style edition is chalk full of bloggers such as Bryanboy, Lifestyle Hunters, and one of my personal favorites, cinemagraph lady extraordinaire, Jamie Beck of From Me To You. The comings and goings of all the shows were just as exciting as the shows themselves and usually a chaotic crowd of photographers lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the hottest looks of the moment. This was at the fabulous Norma Kamali 3D shopping experience hence ... When I heard designer and fellow San Antonian, Angelina Mata, was showcasing her Spring/Summer 2012 ready-to-wear collection for this year's Fashion Week, I knew I had to be there. I'd never seen her work before and wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew I wanted to celebrate Texan style makers and lovers in NYC.
I have to say, I was really blown away by her Atelier collection. Not only were the clothes gorgeous, but each was a look from head to toe of ... Read More
Inspired by "nostalgia for a simpler time," Suzanne Rae created a simple, stylishly zen-like collection for Fashion Week using crepe de chine, silk chiffon, hemp jersey, and raw silk. The collection was quiet, but comprised of some very polished, clean looks. You could actually see the pieces on everyday kind of girls (except maybe that awesome straw coat thing above). There was an effortlessly hip kind of vibe to a lot of the looks and the models even ... Read More
Of course I'm a fan of the collections, but during Fashion Week, I'd say the real action is on the streets. Hordes of stylish attendees coming and going to shows line the sidewalks to Lincoln Center in one unique look after another. Actors, bloggers, models, editors, and even photographers themselves all put on a fashion show of their very own that no one can resist. This was only my second time ever seeing a show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week so the giddiness, excitement, and newness of everything was definitely still there. Last season, I was lucky enough to see ADAM, but this season, I was beyond excited to see the always elegant Carolina Herrera. Thankfully the show was running a bit late because there was just so much to take in...the lights, the atmosphere, the photographers, the stylish attendees..like oh..I ... Read More

I was extremely stoked to get an invitation to attend the Rodarte Fall 2011 Runway show today.
Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the creative sisters behind the label presented a dreamy and inspirational collection that was very "prairie princess" inspired. I saw a lot of hand crafted embellishments, embroidered geometric patches and sweaters that totally looked like hand knit 1970's relics from a lucky thrift score.
The palette was all earthy taupe's, pale blues and ... Read More

Anyone else tired of seeing fashion week's sickly thin models displaying bizarre clothes most people can't afford and, for weeks to follow, reading about them in every magazine, newspaper, blog, and bathroom stall? Well, our girl-crush, Erin Gibson, sure is, but she doesn't just roll her eyes; she tackles the industry and the models who work them in her latest Modern Lady. A parody, yes- as is her style, but also a commentary on how the fashion industry values one ... Read More
