Awesome news today: Secret (the deodorant company) has launched a Facebook-based campaign devoted to getting women ski jumpers in the 2014 Olympics. An awesome fact: a woman, Lindsey Van, holds the record for the longest ski jump (between both men and women) off of Whistler, BC’s ski jump, which was built for the 2010 Olympics. Van, a 25 year old woman from Park City, Utah, trains six days a week, eleven months a year, in her discipline—and she won’t be able to compete in the ski jump in Vancouver. Why? Because she’s a woman.
