The temperatures have dropped to damn-near freezing and it is getting dark out at an ungodly hour, but that doesn’t mean Northeasterners have to kiss music festivals goodbye. Cue the Tinderbox Music Festival: in its third year running, this 100 percent lady-fronted, New York-based fest stands and delivers right at the start of the chilly months, before winter sets in for good. The annual event, which will be hosted November 11th at Webster Hall, ... She is responsible for hits like "Be My Baby" and "Baby I Love You," which were basically written to be sung into the mirror with a hairbrush in hand. ... Read More
My favorite festival out there, NYC Popfest, is coming up this May 19th-22nd, Thursday-Sunday for their exciting 5th year anniversary! From past year's The Pains of Being Pure At Heart and The Drums to the lesser known, but certainly buzzworthy bands, Allo Darlin' and Cats On Fire, the collaborators certainly know how to pick 'em!
This year, some ... Read More
It’s time to get excited for Noise Pop 2011! And with plenty of reason to!
Rolling Stone calls the festival, “…One of the best ways to see punk legends, indie darlings and the best local upstarts in one extended weekend. It’s meant to be a nonstop party… You can taste each and every intelligently booked showcase.”
