Well if there is one positive outcome out of this whole Polar Vortex thing, it’s that I’ve perfected a recipe for a delicious Rum Hot Toddy. It is the perfect night cap for a chilly evening. It's not too boozy and has no caffeine, so you can easily fall asleep and dream of coconut trees and beaches. I’m not a fan of whiskey, which is more traditional for a toddy, so of course you can substitute that or brandy for the rum, but this Kraken spiced ... Read More

Last year, when the farmer's market was looking sad with nothing but kale and onions and potatoes, I bought a sugar pumpkin, just 'cause it looked so cute. When I got it home I wasn't quite sure what I'd do with it. Unlike Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins, which really aren't the most delicious for cooking and eating, sugar pumpkins are much smaller, more round than squat, and they have flesh that is firmer, and less stringy and watery, than their larger sisters.

The blog came about after Smith made her boyfriend a sandwich one morning. After finishing the meal, he told Smith that she was “300 sandwiches away from an engagement ring.” Her blog chronicles her journey (and ... Read More

But it’s dessert that gets me the most excited. Without air conditioning (help me, I’m poor), it was very difficult to find ... Read More

In the biggest "Wait...what?" of the past 15 minutes, the rapper 2 Chainz has written a cookbook oh-so-cleverly titled #MEAL TIME. The cookbook pairs hearty southern-style dishes with your favorite 2 Chainz songs. I know, it doesn't really make sense...but it looks TASTY!!!
Normally, I would be ranting about the absurdity of a book instructing me to "Put on my Versace apron" as the first step to making Teriyaki Salmon, but look at this picture:YUM.
