Summer may not have officially started yet, but the summer heat is HERE. I spent this past weekend with my sweaty skin sticking to subway seats, leather couches, and my boyfriend. I probably spent most of my time peeling myself off of things.
I am not made for this kind of heat. It's clearly here to make me suffer. Getting into cars that have been baking out in the sun in 90 degree weather? It's THE WORST. Almost as bad as trying to fall asleep in a ... Read More

It seemed oddly logical at the time, and I haven't completely thrown the idea away just yet.
For those of ... Read More

It's a benefit for Planned Parenthood of New York City that will take place July 8th at the Museum of Sex sponsored by BUST Magazine! The event takes its name very seriously, with an all-night open bar and after-hour access to the museum. There will also be performances by DJ Ayres (from The Rub) and Jess Jubilee (from Flashing lights), raffles, a silent auction, and a special VIP ... Read More

In today's indie/pop music realm, it seems everyone is trying to out-wit and out-weird. The likes of Lily Allen, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga have set the standard for sharp lyrics that bite on bubble-gum beats. While unabashedly part of the movement, Kate Miller-Heidke sets herself apart with a strong feminist vibe and a great voice that is reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper and Kate Bush. Her second album, Curiouser, features the zinger tracks (God's Gift to Women and Are ... Read More
