Well, there's no pool. But there are the Murder City Devils, who I can't be more happy to see playing a FREE show after five years of not touring at all (they broke this back in Feb). And there's also tons of lawn chilling, dodge ball and swarms of sweaty, happy people. And its free, so you don't have much of an excuse for not going if you happen to be in New York.

The New York Times has a blog post up today about how exercise science has ignored women. The piece cites New Zealand researcher Dr. David Rowlands, who did a study on male cyclists in 2008 that found they exhibited a 4% performance gain if they ate protein and carbs after workouts, as opposed to just carbs. Last night was the kick off party for the NYC Food Film Festival, and boy was I in heaven. (Don't I look happy?)
