Sex In America Friday!

BY Callie in General |

As most of you know already, I am starting a porn for labies called Ligerbeat . I was so stoked when my girl Gail hit me up about this symposium on sex in America this Friday at 7. Me and some of my porny ladies are totally gonna go. I am really excited to hear Cory Silverberg who has done workshops on feminist pornography speak! Get all the info here! It should be really interesting, also I bet the crowd is full of awesomeness too! I invited my friend Jill ... Read More
Courtesy of Warner Bros. Variety is reporting that Twentieth Century Fox is pushing back the release date of the Sandra Bullock flick All About Steve so it wouldn't go up against Warner Bros.' super-hyped comic book movie Watchmen. Of course, things get complicated when you add in the legal tug of war between Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros. over Watchmen rights, which resulted in Fox now 'having a stake' in Watchmen and essentially competing against ... This kid is pretty cute. And with a creative imagination and obvious appreciation for tatts, (she has a husky on her arm!), she will no doubt grow up to be a BUST ... Read More

BY Team Intern in General |

In honor of International Women's Day (IWD) which is March 8 of this year (mark your calenders!!), the Lomographic Society and the chic French boutique, colette have gotten together to create a brand new (and may I say very, very cute) Diana camera for purchase.  But, the camera is not all!  Along with the Diana being revamped, a book full of dreamy photographs and text have been created to go with it.  The 'Dianalogues' showcase ... Built by Wendy Fall o9!

BY Laurie in General |

Thursday night I went to see the Built by Wendy Fall collection and it was beautiful. With a mix of super short wool dresses and skirts and sleek pants, the vibe was part sexy librarian with a little mod kick for good measure. I really loved the tweed pants and jeans with the little tie at the bottom, sort of a reined in harem pant, but much more utilitarian than hippie. I also was digging the print D'Urberville dresses and tops which had a chic vintage look. A ... Read More
Whatever, some people are in love, blah blah blah. I've never really cared about V-day, it kind of steps on my birthday toes (which was yesterday by the by, amazing recap blog coming Monday! Teaser: I wore a belted Snuggie over a Budweiser bathing suit). But what I do love about the holiday is the tradition of listening to A Date With John Waters in the office (as you know we have a couple music traditions we honor around here). Check this NPR interview ... Read More
I love the gals from Ladies Circus and all the peeps that live at The House of Yes, so when Anya called me today to help spread the word about this fundraiser I was stoked to help. Last year her house burnt down and her and her roommates have been building an amazing new space. It's part house and part creative/performance space. She is auctioning herself off on a Valentine's Day date and the money they raise is going to build The Sky Box in the House of ... Read More

Cute Overload!

BY Emily Rems in General |

Once upon a time there was a mom in France who realized her four-year-old daughter Capucine was totally awesome at telling stories, so she started video taping her and putting the clips on Vimeo for the world to enjoy. It didn't take long for net surfers to get totally obsessed with Capucine's stories - posting them all over the place, and that's when her mom had another great idea. Why not sell merch with quotes on it from Capucine's stories , and then donate the ... Read More

BUST's Movie Hall of Fame

BY Lisa in General |

For all the movies I've seen, there's a shit ton that I haven't. When Debbie found out the other day that I've never watched All About Eve, she nearly excommunicated me from the office until I could say that I had. Well, since we're on deadline she let me stick around but it got us talking about what films belong in BUST's Movie Hall of Fame. We started a list: All About Eve Sweet Charity Breakfast at Tiffany's Grey Gardens Mommie Dearest Nine to ... Read More
I am totally TMZ'n over Frank Lloyd Wright every since one of my besties, Fabrisha Dankins of Drunky Brewster Fame, turned me onto Loving Frank, I think it was last summer. You probably are familiar with Wright's architecture but you may not know about his life, which should've totally been made into a movie by now, unless it already has been and I missed it. Not a documentary but a full blown Hollywood to-do. I suggest when they finally do adapt his life to big ... Read More
