There is much-deserved hype swirling around this band right now, and seeing them live is a must. I was fortunate enough to catch them on Tuesday night here in NYC at an MTV taping, which was ... Read More

How many times have we all heard the contradictory phrase, "Well, I believe in gender equality, but I wouldn't say I'm a feminist." Girl, no. To this day, the feminist movement is derailed by people's unexplained allergy to the word. Students in a Duke University course called Women in the Public Sphere were disturbed by society's widespread misconceptions about the feminist movement, so they decided to launch a campaign aimed to challenge existing stereotypes ... Potter Abby Berkson started her business, Abby Berkson Ceramics, out of her home studio in Easthampton, Mass back in 2010 and her pots and mugs are just plain adorable. She draws inspiration from children’s books and from her days teaching ceramics classes where all the kids wanted to do was make things with their favorite animals on them.
Wouldn’t drinking coffee first thing in the morning out of a mug with two little penguins ... Read More

New York Couture is a dazzling blend of punk rock cool and majorly glamorous fairy princess. Their skirts, tops, and dresses are all limited-edition and surefire conversation starters. Worn by the likes of Katy Perry and Agyness Deyn, these frocks are sure to add some much needed whimsy to your life. I love when fashion has a cheeky sense of humor, and that's exactly what New York Couture does best (outside of super hot short-shorts). I think my ... Read More
The sisters of Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit are certifiable old souls. When Johanna and Klara Söderberg sing about loves lost and past regrets, it’s hard to believe they’re just 21 and 19, respectively. But they’ve been playing music together since before most American kids can drive, so it's safe to say that they know what they’re doing. Their sophomore album The Lion’s Roar (Wichita) debuted in January to well-deserved ... Read More
