Crafty-cool website Cut Out + Keep hit the 30,000 member benchmark today, which is quite the feat. The website, which started out as a personal craft blog for journalist Cat Morley, has expended into a craft mecca, with oh so many craft and other DIY (beauty and food recipes, etc) tutorials posted by members.

Last spring a screening of Handmade Nation made its way to Portland, OR, where I was living at the time.
