Kate Moss, Agyness Deyn, Emma Watson, and now…Adele?
British Vogue reports that Adele may collaborate with British luxury fashion house Burberry on a plus-size line.
According to British Vogue, Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey personally approached Adele to become a Burberry ambassador, and Adele responded by asking if Burberry would collaborate with her on a plus-size collection.
Her request seems pretty reasonable. If Burberry ... Read More

In a recent interview with Tom Brady, designer and director Tom Ford made some interesting age-related comments about the football player’s wife, the absurdly gorgeous supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
The Internet has had it out for Ford since the interview came out in VMAN, calling for his head on a pike because he dared to talk openly about the fact that Gisele will someday age--and further, that it's unfortunate that the fashion industry will consider her less ... Read More

Last week, we caught wind of a horrific factory fire in Karachi, Pakistan that claimed the lives of 264 workers. Reporters at Refinery 29 drew similarities between the brutal blaze and the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire here in the states. And with good reason: The Pakistani factory kept their doors and windows sealed shut and had no emergency exits. Under these conditions, the trapped workers were left to suffocate and burn.

Vaute Couture, the super stylish coat maker, has unveiled its new coats for this winter: a collection of vegan and fair trade coats that are made of eco-friendly and sometimes recycled materials. Even better, they're made in the U.S.A. Founder Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart created Vaute in 2008 in order to offer coats that were warm enough for harsh winters without containing any animal products or compromising on aesthetics.
The coats are a bit pricey (from about ... Read More

Fashion designer Nzinga Knight doesn't use low-cut necklines in her designs, or gowns with thigh-high slits exposing bare legs. There’s no cleavage, back, or belly showing on the models who wear her designs. Why? Knight's a devout Muslim. Instead of flaunting the wearer's assets, her work's sex appeal is tied to the mystery of the covered body. "The look of my work is sensual, mysterious, innovative," she told Yahoo! News. She explained that her target is ... Read More

We're loving the fashions in these 1970s-era pictures of students at Brooklyn's Saint Joseph's College, which Flavorpill posted recently.
Many of the styles look pretty similar to the ones ladies are sporting today, like the large black-rimmed glasses, pea coats, button downs, and belted waists. In fact, there are probably awesomely stylish girls dressed like this walking around Brooklyn right now.
There are also ... Read More

Retail giant Urban Outfitters is under fire (again) for shirts that glorify drinking. Let’s ignore the fact that: 1. These shirts are dumb, and 2. These shirts are stupid, and also 3. These shirts are not clever, and pay attention to the fact that the majority of Urban Outfitters shoppers are 18-24. Ruh-oh.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) have responded to the shirts, claiming that they are not acceptable for children under the age of 21.
Oh, Urban ... Read More
