Go DEMA Go!

BY Maggie in Style File |

I was cruisin' my bike along the always-sunnier Mission district of San Francisco and stopped by one of my all time fave local designer's shop, DEMA!  I love Dema's amazing tailoring skills and eye for color, patterns and twist on timeless classics.  I also love running into the bad ass, Dema at random places in SF, NY and Austin at some club, bar or show....  Miss Dema Grim does rock on with her frock on!!  She even had a kick ass fashion show ... precious cargo

A few issues ago, we did a round up of sweet looking luggage tags. My fav was this adorable tag from PamelaBarsky.com. It reads "nothing worth stealing in here", and really it's true, unless you'd be interested in gaffling a rack full of last season's Forever 21 dresses. But on a recent trip while waiting at bag claim, I was shocked to see that someone was not interested in my collection of cheap threads, but they were so impressed by my cute luggage tag, ... Fashion (cyber)Nation

BY Tara in Style File |

Gals worldwide are going B.A.N.A.N.A.'s over street-style sites and fashion blogs lately and a few issues back (Aug/Sept 07), when we featured some adorable fashion-clad ladies from across the globe, tons of readers wrote in begging us for more! While you can expect a significantly plumper portion of the mag to be dedicated to street trends in upcoming issues, I decided there are just to many budding fashionista's and fashion freaks out there that need to be ... Silver Lining Opticians

BY Laurie in Style File |

I am always on the hunt for vintage specs, and recently had to replace my beloved frames because I stupidly dropped them. So the hunt was on, and I searched the city for months for the perfect pair. I finally found a sweet pair of vintage YSLs that are very early 80’s Sophia Loren, and I found them at Siver Lining Opticians in Soho. The guys running this cute eyewear shop, Jordan Silver and Erik Sacher are friendly as can be, very knowledgeable and patient ... Read More

Claw Money for Boosted

BY Laurie in Style File |

Now that fanny packs are no longer just for German tourists and roller bladers, you can get one of these sweet sacks designed by our favorite Graffiti girl, Claw Money. She designed an 8 piece line for Boosted, that include a laptop case, a tote and a duffle and various other sized bags. These are what you put your mobile devices in, or your weed. I love the gold details, plus they are faux leather so very nice for the animal lovers out there. Claw is one ... Read More

Greener pastures

If you're having a little trouble getting lucky below the belt, I suppose a lucky charm wouldn't hurt, but to dye one into your pubes? Get serious!Introducing, Betty, "color for the hair down there". This green "Lucky Betty" set came out just in time for St. Patty's Day. I wonder what kind of stencils they'd come up for Election Day...maybe a ballot box? ... Read More

I recently had the pleasure of being invited by the folks in ANFAO and the Italian Trade Commission to check out all the smashing new eyewear in Milan at their annual trade show. They flew some writers from the US on a private jet for the weekend, and we even got an in-flight fashion show of, you guessed it, eyeglasses! Once in Milan, the land where all the men wear suits and are suspiciously tan, we got to do some fun things and looked at A LOT of very cool ... Read More
