The University of Oregon Women’s Center will begin this year’s Women of Color Speaker Series with Cherrie Moraga, a playwright, poet and activist.
Moraga’s award-winning work deals with issues of identity and community. She brings a Chicana, lesbian, and feminist perspective to her writing. Her experience in bringing together women of color from different communities makes her the perfect opening speaker for this year’s theme of intersecting identities.
Cherrie Moraga will speak in the EMU Ballroom at the University of Oregon on Wednesday, November 5. Doors will open at 7 PM.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information please contact the Women’s Center 541-346-4095. We hope to see you there!
