The Birkenau orchestra had a membership of over 50 women and all but one of the orchestra's members survived in the Auschwitz/Birkenau concentration camp during World War II. St. John the Divine, the largest Anglican cathedral in North America hosts a tribute to these women based upon memoirs and histories, performing one night only.
