The University of Oregon Womenâ€™s Center will begin this yearâ€™s Women of Color Speaker Series with Cherrie Moraga, a playwright, poet and activist.Moragaâ€™s award-winning work deals with issues of identity and community. She brings a Chicana, lesbian, and feminist perspective to her writing. Her experience in bringing together women of color from different communities makes her the perfect opening speaker for this yearâ€™s theme of intersecting identities.Cherrie Moraga will speak in the EMU Ballroom at the University of Oregon on Wednesday, November 5.
