Presenting an official event of Carnegie Hall’s Japan/NYC Festival, Cave of the Heart (1947) focuses on the decades of long creative partnership between sculptor Isamu Noguchi and Martha Graham; Death and Entrances (1943), one of Martha Graham’s first psychological-themed choreography, returns after a 6-year absence, with costumes by Oscar de la Renta; and the world premiere of an as-yet-untitled dance piece choreographed by Bulareyaung Pagarlava designed to accompany Death and Entrances. |
