Los Angeles pop-up gallery dark dark science is inviting over 20 artists to take over a space in Chinatown for a mix tape-themed art show. as a nostalgic nod to the mixes we spent hours making in the ’80s and ’90s, artists including Tara McPherson, Frances bean Cobain, Camille rose garcia, and Fairuza balk are creating pieces inspired by specific songs, and all the inspiration tracks will be added to a downloadable iTunes playlist. BUST is sponsoring the show, with a portion of the proceeds from art sales helping the downtown dog rescue.
