HyperGender Burlesque Presents: GLITTER DUNGEON (NYC) ( 9:00 pm )

HyperGender Burlesque Presents:
GLITTER DUNGEON

November 2nd, 2013 @10pm
WOW Cafe Theater
59-61 E. 4th Street, 4th floor
(btw Bowery & 2nd ave)
New York, NY 10003
F to 2nd Avenue, 6 to Astor place

www.hypergender.com

$15/$10 if on HyperGender mailing list (just email us at hypergender@gmail.com and ask to get on the list)

In a black box theatre on the Lower East Side, HyperGender’s getting glittery, hot, handsome, and tied. On the street you might think you hear music and cheers; don’t worry, you’ll find us - just follow the queers. We're awfully kinky, and you won't want to miss this dungeon of sparkles where we're tying down bliss. Because what could be more alluring than controlling control? At WOW Cafe, we like it rough, strange, forbidden, and bold. A gentle robot’s whisper won’t be denied; and Dark Alice knows the white rabbit can’t hide. You might see an exhilarating spanking - or two; and our Angel will leave you dizzy, longing, confused. Do you dare come and join this glitter bomb of a night?

Then glitter and collar yourself or your friend, because you won’t be ready for Halloween to end. (If it all becomes too much, don’t worry, just ask - there will be a place in the lobby to sit and relax.)

Jay Zee Bich, Mercedes Matilda, and Jean Va Gin are your guides on this night of loving revelry; also featuring wild lineup of queer radical sexiness Foxy Squire, Ana Drogyna, Eva Arachnia, IR Marin, Aimee Herman, Bo Dirt, Mikey Mouse, Elijah Scott Wood, Glitter Butch Princess - and, from Washington, D.C., the notorious Pryvate Tails.

Some may call us blasphemous, but we say we are what NYC is about: queerness, glitter and worship of all things different!

Buying tickets early highly recommended due to our limited seating capacity!
Next shows: December 7 overwhelmingly sensual "Feast,” and January 4 so naughty it must be nice “Catholic School”

Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can Choose (NYC, Online) ( 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm )

NEW YORK CITY: Sarah Silverman (Comedian, and Emmy award nominated actress) and Lizz Winstead (Comedian, author and Daily Show co-creator) have teamed up with the New York Abortion Access Fund, NARAL Pro-Choice America and Lady Parts Justice to host Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can Choose, a star studded online telethon, with proceeds going to fight back against the attacks on abortion access in Texas streaming live online from New York City November 18th, from 7-10pm ET at www.ladypartsjustice.org.

This live streaming event will bring three hours of entertainment and awareness across the World Wide We Stand with Women Web and will raise consciousness and cash for Texas women in need.

When the mainstream media ignored Wendy Davis, America fired up their computers and watched her courage streaming live. With this amazing line up of talent for Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can Choose we expect America to once again fire up their computers, gather for watch parties, take to Twitter and Facebook and say we won’t stand for this while pledging their support.

This is a rare chance to have a front row seat right in your living room and be a part of an incredible event that will be hilarious, entertaining and moving while inspiring everyone across the country to help women in Texas access the abortion care they need.

It doesn’t matter where you are, you can still make a difference!

We’re all pissed about what’s happening across the country so join us online at www.ladypartsjustice.com or any website of one of the 4 organizations we are benefitting.  Twitter Hashtag #TexasWomenForever

We will be raising money and raising hell for the women of Texas!

Night Of A Thousand Vaginas: An Emergency Benefit To Help Texas Women (Los Angeles, CA) ( 8:00 pm )

Los Angeles, CA — A is For will host a benefit featuring an evening of comedy and music to raise money for the women of Texas at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles, CA on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 8pm.

On Halloween the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals blocked a lower federal court’s injunction on the dangerous Texas abortion law (HB2) that was passed this summer, despite Senator Wendy Davis's legendary filibuster. With this decision 1/3 of the abortion clinics in Texas had to shut down overnight.

A is For is organizing this emergency benefit to raise money for Texas abortion funds (Lilith Fund, TEA Fund, Whole Women’s Health Action Fund, and Fund Texas Women) who are working to help women affected by this law by providing financial support to help cover procedures, travel, lodging and child care.

Tracey Thorn In New York City (NYC) ( 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm )

English pop star Tracey Thorn will promote her memoir, Bedsit Disco Queenwith a book signing in NYC this November. Bedsit Disco Queen: How I Grew Up and Tried to Be a Pop Star (Virago UK, an imprint of Little, Brown Book Group, 2013) is the story of Tracey Thorne, one half of the internationally successful group Everything But the Girl for 18 years, and collaborator with such artists as Paul Weller, Massive Attack and dance legend Todd Terry. Tracey has been in the charts, out of them, back in. She's seen herself described as an indie darling, a middle-of-the-road nobody, and a disco diva. As she explains here, she hasn't always fit in, a fact that's helped her to face up to the realities of a pop career. She discusses her realizations--that there are thrills and wonders to be experiences, but also moments of doubt, mistakes, and violent lifestyle changes from luxury to squalor and back again, sometimes within minutes. This is the funny, perceptive, and candid story of her 30-year pop career. For more info on Tracey, visit www.traceythorne.com

Date/Time: Monday, November 25th at 5:00 PM
