I'll give it a try.

Being a Bustie means:

-you know feminism takes many forms.
-you are willing to stand for the rights of other women.
-you know that talking about nail polish doesn't mean you can't talk about politics.
-you know that the color pink can be insanely controversial and you have a stance on that but sometimes that stance contradicts itself.
-you want the highest quality technology and can you make it in a sparkly purple while you are at it?
-reading the news can make you full of love and full of rage within about a 3-5 minute span of time.

I've been sitting on this for a while, and I still don't know.

I'll agree with Turbo that this place is like home. It's hard to put into words, it's like you just *are*.

WORD on that, dechats!

LL - good to see you 'round here! Be sure to tell everybustiestaffer a big 'ole HAPPY 15th ANNIVERSARY from all of us!

I was thinking a bit about this this other day, reflecting on the anniversary, and that I've been a consistent reader for most of the last 15 years, and I think because of the last 9 or so years that I've been on the lounge, BUST to me, means HOME, as much as anything. Y'all are my SATC-style bitches, and I've shared the good, bad and worse here, come to laugh, cry and get more support here than I could have imagined from an online community. So the Lounge is truly my online home.

But what it means to be a Bustie? Hmmm...I think dechats has got a good, pithy definition down there, but I'll keep thinking. Mostly, I'm just happy to still be here with y'all. smile.gif

sorry,
it's kinda tough to say, we're all pretty different.
This thread "You know you're a bustie, when..."
maybe gives a bit of an idea...

Your question is a bit vague, too, you know "What it means to be a bustie"
Maybe you could be a little more specific?

*sratches head*

I'll think of something, but like I said, it's not so easy to describe.

Hey all you BUSTy chicas! Something came up at one of our meetings, and we were wondering what you think it means to be BUSTy.

The interns all agree that it is more of an essence--we know it when we see it--but we want to find a way to explain BUSTiness to those who aren't quite with it.

Give us your input! How do you define BUSTy? And what does it mean to be a BUSTy lady?
