If Cystex was illegal in my country, I'd start a smuggling operation. Every once in a while, I absolutely need it. My UTI's get so bad, I can't walk to the bus stop. Sometimes you can tell when you're going to get one, and when I feel that tingling, I start chugging water. Here's a link to the stuff: http://www.certaindri.com/Pages/About%20Cystex I think a UTI thread would be fantastic.

And no orange pee! That dye stuff stains my panties. sad.gif

As for the boobs being different sizes, I'm just going to ride it out. I've only been on BC for 2 months, and I wear stretchy bras, so I don't notice that much of a gap. Zovia has really cleared up my painful acne, so I really like it. This experience made me realize that if my boobs change in size, I'd just point out something else I don't like (and I think what's next would be that my boobs are spaced far apart.) So I'm just going to shoosh myself about it and be a small-boob advocate. I'll just say my cup size is an A+!

One thing that's been a big help for me...I've been very lucky to have quite a few coworkers who also have small chests. I told one of them the other day "I love your sweater!" (it had big cables running down the front of it, I was thinking "Now how do I knit that...") and she replied "it helps give the chest some oomph!" I pointed to my shirt that had pockets on the bust, and said "I know what you mean!" I think if she said that a year ago, I'd have an entirely different reaction. I was very proud of my reaction. And another thing, my coworker is so pretty and intelligent, and has great fashion sense. Anyway, I noticed that I can poke fun about the subject a bit, instead of sitting in a corner, crying. Though once, a friend was telling me how annoying it is to buy extended-size bras. I told her I had to shop in the children's section. She looked at me with so much pity and asked if I was thinking of implants. I said, "Hey, we're women of extremes. That's just how it is."

omg, I looked it up and it's been off the market in Canada since october 2009! sad.gif can't find the exact reason reason but apparently there are possible but unproven carcinogenic effects (hello, the BCP and bottled water have that too and they're both still on the market!!) aww thanks buttercups, I know you must feel my pain! but I will find a way to get a hold of some ph34r.gif I'm planning on being in the states later this year, and in the meantime there is extra strength tylenol. I also went to the organic market and bought some of the real concentrated cranberry juice stuff, and some bearberry tea. this is the end of my derailment, if it happens again I may see if I can start a UTI thread or something. clearly everyone has some great solutions and advice and we could all help eachother out!

Not legal to prescribe?? Where are you from again Angie? In the states you can get them over-the-counter, if I'm thinking of what you are- the orange pain relief pills? I get them at the local drug store and it's called AZO. I really hope he wasn't referring to the pain relief stuff bc I can't IMAGINE going through a UTI without that! Let me know and if you can't get the relief where you are I'll ship it to you haha!

nbdx I'm so sorry you're feeling upset, but it's true that most women are 2 different sizes. Did this just happen from the bc pills? Have you ever been on this one before and how long have you been on it? If it's recent and youve never had this happen before, you should give your doc a call and get a prescription for another pill. They all have different levels of hormones and it's likely that a different pill wouldn't affect you like this. It's definitely worth a shot right? You shouldn't have to just deal with it like this.

((everyone)) you guys are sweethearts. It's nice just to know I'm not the only one who has to deal with this all the time. I know that most women get UTIs but it's just not something that seems acceptable to talk about even with friends. At work on Friday I had to lie and say I had a stomach flu to explain why I was so miserable.

I don't want to continue the derailment too long, but nbdx, what is this cystex and do you need a prescription? I have those wonderful little pills that turn your pee orange, but I only have a few left and when I asked for more last time, the doctor told me they're not even legal to prescribe any more and the last time I got them it was probably off-label! Dude! what makes him think I care whether they're legal or not?! I'm on macrobid right now and I guess it has some kind of painkiller in it. spot-on, I used to take cranberry pills all the time but they didn't seem to make a difference, and now I find they irritate my bladder and make the pain 10 times worse. maybe it's just the pills that are irritating. I do drink ocean spray 100% cranberry juice, do you mean something stronger than that?

nbdx, that sounds so frustrating but you'll probably get back to normal once your body adjusts to the hormones. spot-on's right though, it's probably so much more noticeable to you than it would be to anyone else.

spot-on I know what you mean about feeling awkward when something you're wearing just doesn't feel right (or even worse, that it's just drawing too much attention to one spot!). But I don't think anyone would have even noticed or cared either way what kind of bra you were or weren't wearing, other than you! it's so awesome that you love your body as much as you do, and have the courage to jump around in front of so many people in shorts and a sports bra. If I did that, there would be so many things jiggling all over the place, it's just wouldn't be good. But actually I am pretty comfortable in front of my friends - I'm not really embarrased of my body, but I know most other people have hang-ups and I don't want to make them uncomfortable by putting my less-than-perfect body out there in their faces. but with my friends, I figure we're all adults and if they don't care, I don't either.

In a recent story, again only vaguely on topic but it is about body hang-ups, I was confident enough to wear a bikini (despite recently graduating to a size 12 dress size... yikes!) with my friends on a group outing, and my friend's boyfriend drunkenly accidentally flirted with me. OK I know you're all thinking that's horrible but if you met the guy and knew what a total sweetie he is, just sometimes socially awkward and likely to say the first thought to pop into his mind, flirting isn't quite the right word but it was actually just a very nice compliment. Anyways, it made me realize how differently we might see ourselves compared to reality. Here I was thinking "damn I hope no one minds my gut hanging out of my bikini" and as always, the guys would just appreciate it so much more if we were naked lol

On a side note -
We went out for dinner last night with friends, I wore a halter top I've mentioned before. I wore a VS strapless bra underneath and was obsessing all night that the bra was showing. Got home took the bra off and immediately felt more comfortable. I think sometimes wearing those things gives us the damn "small boob complex". I just need to work up the courage to be braless in public infront of people I know. It's so much easier in a class when I don't know the people! lol!

nbdx0645 - don't worry about it my right is almost one size smaller than the left. Other people don't notice but because WE do WE worry about it. Stop obsessing and it won't be an issue smile.gif

Angie - I have kidney disease (hereditary issue) and swear by daily doses of pure 100% cranberry juice. I only have a little each morning 1/8 cup but since I started taking it about a year ago I haven't had one UTI or Kidney infection. Tastes like crap (remember this is the 100% cranberry not the stuff with grape juice) but I'll suffer it for seconds to avoid the pain of UTI's! More of a preventative thing I think, but hey couldn't hurt right?

(Same with me. It's awful! I swear by Cystex -- it stops the urgency/burning in 20 minutes, and it won't turn your pee yellow-orange. I also drink cranberry juice and eat dried cranberries, and definitely get in 6+ glasses of water a day.)

I've been furiously knitting the last few weeks to keep my mind off the boob lobsided-ness. I swear, it happened overnight! It's been working so far...I finished two baby sweaters in a week. I know it's quite common, but I wish there was something I could do for the little one. I wonder if I'd rather have two boobs that are equivalent to the smaller one, or larger/smaller ones. Oh, the things I think about.

christ angie I'm right there with you! I swear UTIs are the bain of my existence and I've suffered through 8 of them! I'm one of those people whos anatomically prone and I get them if I so much as hold in pee for an hour. It is terrible and everytime I get one and get over I'm always sooo grateful for my health when it's over. My last one was over New Years and it was so terrible. I'm so sorry for you, but at least once youve gotten a culture in you can take the pain relief orange crap and that should help with the symptoms at least. I feel your pain.

sorry that was off-topic too! just have to commiserate about the UTIs. Back to boobies!

spot-on I am jeaous of your abs! but only a little. I wish my clothes fit better, but that happens no matter what dress size I am. Right now I am going through a nasty series of UTIs, 2 in the last month, and I'm happy just when my body is healthy and not in pain. Nothing makes you appreciate your body like realizing what a miracle it is when everything is working right and letting you go on with your life without having to think about it. Getting UTIs also makes me hate being a woman enough that I don't care if I look feminine or not! Sorry, I know this post is only vaguely on topic, but I am sick and feverish and feeling the need to complain.

I started back on the BC (Zovia) and I noticed breast growth, but only in my right breast. Now I have a cup difference between the two, and I think the right one is still growing because it's tender. Now I'm self-conscious about the difference in size, more than their actual size. <sigh>

Totally loving this! I think showing hot athletes rocking the smaller boobs is awesome. Let's face it most athletes have smaller boobs because they have lower body fat %. Look at some of the Volleyball players totally rockin and totally unafraid to show off their bodies! One mag I read recently had an article on Dara Torres and I've seen another on Jackie Warners body, I want that girls abs! So totally awesome!

I taught Kickboxing this morning in my Nike cheerleader booty shorts and a matching sports top. No tee. Felt so comfortable. THAT is my element. I wonder sometimes if by covering up we're making it more of an issue? So to that end I decided this Spring/Summer I will be rocking the midrif a'la Gwen Stefani. I even snagged some new shorts for this purpose smile.gif I plan on rocking my small boobs and abs (I will get my six pack eventually damnit) in booty shorts and bikini tops smile.gif

Also with the Olympics there are the usual bikini pics of female athletes - and stepping around the issue of whether it's sexist in and of itself - some really nice fit natural-breasted bodies. Yum.

I had that reaction too.

I came across the Embarrassing Bodies stuff last year. A lot of the info is helpful to have out there, but yeah, so sad to read comments from all the perfectly normal women who think there's something wrong with them. (I mean, geez, the show's doctors even have a rigid idea of what size labia should be and push the idea of "fixing" what, to non-judgmental eyes, ain't broke. Body image standards as dogma, cod help us.)

i don't really understand why most of those are embarrassing at all, other than the fact that they are considered private parts. most of them are quite lovely. i guess it goes to show how even quite normal and attractive people think they look odd.

Geeez, why did they have to put file that under "embarrassing illnesses"? They all seem pretty healthy to me!

Yeah, this place is like an instant pick-me-up! The positivity is seriously like my drug. LOL Way to rock the legs, Starship!

nono lol, its a program in the UK called 'Embarassing bodies', because it deals with stuff that people are usually embarassed about, like sexual health & nuddy parts.

I think the only thing about having small boobs that's making me sad at the moment is not being able to buy all the cute underwear i see:(

it made me sad reading through all the pages of worried comments from girls/women at the bottom. These women should come here!

i got a new full length mirror for my room and it really makes a difference looking at my body as a whole rather than just in fragmented pieces or just seeing myself by looking down at my body without a mirror like i usually do. i never noticed before that i do actually have quite nice legs- not really skinny and knobbly like id always thought. and yes, my breasts are still small but they actually look kinda cute and sexy on my body and not freakish at all.

I also saw the episode of desperate housewives that someone mentioned a while ago where the husband says her small breasts are a 'flaw' that makes her imperfect so he doesnt feel inadequate being with her (the UKs abit behind so it only just got aired here). I was so offended! when the convo started i thought ok its tv so itll prob end up concluding that everyone's beautiful and size doesnt matter and blah blah... but no, it just kept showing men falling at her feet because of her bigger boobs and ended up with her husband saying her usual ones were a flaw:/ wtf. sorry, you all had this convo months ago lol....

Ok I'm done torturing myself with this, im just going to ignore it from now on.

I need to get back on the small boobies horse, I seem to have fallen off the side of it again, and looking at other small breasted hotties does do wonders for my self-esteem for whatever reason. I'll get back to that : )

"God, Pedophile, and Terrorist. These words will get you SO FAR in government."
nbdx - truer words were never spoken. Alas.

I agree, AP - the Aussie post was totally on topic and I personally found the posts after the article to be very validating! Many people, mostly guys, posted their love of smallies and their hatred of being censored or made to feel like perverts, and I enjoyed reading them. I appreciated you posting it very much. Warm thanks.

Renaissance paintings, 1920's flappers, 1970's porn - plenty of healthy, sexy small-breasted images out there to enjoy!

Also with the Olympics there are the usual bikini pics of female athletes - and stepping around the issue of whether it's sexist in and of itself - some really nice fit natural-breasted bodies. Yum.

And I agree, Buttercups - give it up on the Tanner thing. Concensus here is that it's meaningless and gnawing on it only serves to upset you. Next time you're tempted to torture yourself with Tanner, go watch some porn with a hot smallie in instead and get yourself off to the hotness of small.

Buttercups - stop looking at the tanner thing. Hell I'm 38 and not a 5. I don't have the underboob crease, I have beautiful small perky breasts. They are perfect cos they suit me. I rock the small boobs! Instead of looking at that kinda crap choose some celebrity/or other who has similar breasts and body type and imagine yourself as powerful as they are. For me that's women like gwen stefani and mila jojvich. I like small boobed kick ass women. Turn this around!!! Fuck the tanner stages. We are women, we are ALL different, don't pigeon hole me Mr Tanner (cos you KNOW a man thought that shit up!). I too wish we could go back to a time before implants, but guess what? WE are now the ones that are sought after cos we are natural/normal!!! Sure if my boobs decided to grow overnight that'd be fine, but what I have is fine too! We've talked about it before but boob size being in/out of favor through the years has been a trend. Right now though I think the big boob thing is sliding and we're heading back to a small phase. Look at the paintings linked already by Angie, and think of the 1920's flappers, small boobs were the rage then!!!

AP - no! I think it was awesome and got the group talking. Pick on us and our small boobs? Ban small boobs? Fuck you Australian Government we'll shove them right in your face!!! So hoping that the fight against this crap continues! I thank you AP for bringing this to my attention smile.gif
