puma-type flip flops, and bright. white. short. running socks. (on a guy)
looked like camel toe. ccg: I agree that flip flops in the snowy winter are stupid, but here in the Carolina's flip flops never {sadly} really go out of season. a day w/ a temp of 60*+ is never out of the question, even in say Jan or Feb so the flip flops never really get put away. granted, by late Oct/early Novemember I've already drug out our WINTER boots & scarves & mittens & coats, but the authentic need rarily ever comes for them. -------------------- I'm gonna let it shine

I totally forgot about a horrifying COF, it was so awful, but I also laughted my face off.
i was driving home from the park, and it was a little warm out, and there waiting for the bus was a teenage girl who was wearing shorts and gold coloured uggs. i fucking swear it, and I could not make this shit up if I tried. -------------------- Hatred does not cease in this world by hating, but by not hating; this is an eternal truth. --- Buddah, The Dhammapada

Jean capris that end just under the knee along with brown slouchy winter boots leaving maybe 2-3 inches of legs showing. Um, what? It may not be hot but it's still June! It's sandal weather.
Just wondering, does anyone else get annoyed when they see people wearing flip-flops in really cold weather? I still remember seeing a girl once in November on an extremely cold and rainy day walking around in flip flops! How could she not be freezing? |

missladyj, oh yeah dude. those hairstyles are big right now. kinda like karen o's punk version of the dorothy hamill haircut i had when i was 5. btw, i forgot to mention that when i was in beantown, cocl, raisin, lunasol, and i all saw this chick wearing high waisted jeans. not good. Oh man but those are in style again now too, just like giant square-framed 1980's glasses. I had the assymetrical bob for about 4 months last year, and really liked it. Too much maintenance though. It can be pretty, when made to be sleek and simple. I haven't seen any really 80's assymetrical haircuts out there though, everyone seems to be going for the long Joan Jett look instead. |

COCL, those are icky, has anyone else noticed the increase in white plaid hipster douchebag shorts on men? I've seen a few here, worse worn with another patterned shirt. It was horrible. This is my boyfriend's most recent pet peeve, so I am forced to notice every single one of them, and wow, there are a lot! Kitten, that is hilarious. How surreal. Hey Shibooya, I used to live right near a university campus, and might be teaching at one next year. I gotta say, campus is a hotbed of useless fashion statements (remember when it was hotbed of social statments, acitivism, and, um, research & education? sigh). So many pathetic young girls and boys with too much of daddy's money to spend. It makes me sad because I actually still care about higher education. these kids apparently haven't even learned their primary colors yet! Honestly, if I see another pair of demin cut-offs with neon lace leggings... |

Just yester-day I saw a woman walking around with a ridiculously huge visor on-- not a normal small visor on a hat, like the kind one wears to the beach. Oh no, this one covered at least half of her face. It looked like she was a welder...except she was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
It is nice that she wants to protect her eyes...and her face... but why not just wear sunglasses and put sunblock on? Also I must wholeheartedly agree with the previous posters about Crocs. They are hideous in every way possible. |

I saw a lot of people this weekend wearing t-shirts under skimpy tops, thus ruining two perfectly good shirts.

There was a woman at the CVS yesterday w/panty hose on her head. I have seen people before who have used stockings, nylons and/or knee highs to hold their hair down on humid days (yesterday was one of them) but this woman had taken a full pair of panty hose, put the panty part on her head and wrapped the legs around like a skinny turban and knotted them. The diamond shaped cotton crotch piece was sitting in the middle of the back of her head, too perfectly placed to have not been intentional. I don't know what else to say about that. LOL OMG I love you for telling this story -------------------- |

. ...I don't care how great your body is I should not be able to see your ass hanging out of your teeny tiny skirt! 100% agree. Also I have to wonder who allows these girls (the high school age not college) out of the house in things that look like costumes from a porn shop. "I don't know if anyone mentioned Crocs yet." I hate crocs too.Ugly and dangerous, my 3 year old has a pair-green with frogs. I would never buy them, and those suckers have caused so many bloody knees. -------------------- "What's past is prologue."
