jewels where did you get your tea tree suppositories? i have some tea tree oil in my medicine cabinet that i use on blemishes sometimes. is that the same thing? also just wanted to share that i recently started taking enteric coated peppermint/oregano oil capsules to help with my digestion problems. i've noticed it makes my girly bits smell minty fresh all day! my hubby and i were having sex the other night and all i could smell was the peppermint wafting from my nether region. The Tea tree oil, I bought over the counter. And I just fill a gel cap. The ones we use for the Boric. I can't use boric, so, after hearing Morphia suggest Tea Tree Suppositories, I just filled a gel cap up and stuck it up there!! I did this two nights in a row. I can't smell anything but Tea Tree oil. So...I'm hoping that it works!! |

is it possible the infection will spread while on the flagyl? its very uncomfortable. i am sitting here with a heating pad on me. will try tylenol. thanks jules yeah the bacteria that causes UTIs and kidney infections is usually different than the bacteria that causes BV so flagyl probably won't treat the UTI. hope you feel better soon. |

uh oh....sometimes back pain can be a sign that the infectin has spread to your kidneys. try taking some ibuprofen or tylenol to see if that helps the achiness. if it does then the ache is more than likely just a pulled muscle from moving. if it doesn't help you might want to see your doctor before the symptoms get any worse. is it possible the infection will spread while on the flagyl? its very uncomfortable. i am sitting here with a heating pad on me. will try tylenol. thanks jules -------------------- "Insanity is the only sane reaction to an insane society.” -Thomas Szas

welcome to the board bella!! sounds like you need to find yourself another doctor that will take the time to listen to your concerns. you know your body better than he/she does and you know when something's not right. there's no way a doctor can tell just by eyeing the discharge whether it's yeast or BV. swabs of the discharge need to be examined under a microscope to determine what type of infection is going on. good luck with everything! keep us updated. |

i have a dull lower back ache. I am not sure if its related to this problem or if its muscular being that I just moved. Some Doc's are assholes geez. He/she probably didn't feel like culturing it. As far as dramatic/crazy I understand how you feel. Trust me, I've gone through hell when I had this and still feeling crappy from having gone through this. Good luck! |

Thanks sweetie! I hope that it isnt either. I don't think it is, this hurt nothing like that. When those suckers made themselves known I was hospitalized for a few hours. I dont think that's what my issue is this time.
But honestly, I feel a little better today. No burning at all. So i'm hoping it was just a fluke last night. It was very uncomfortable. I've been guzzling this cranberry juice LOL hopefully whatever the irritation was is gone now. Thanks for the support gals!! -------------------- Faith is hoping for and believing in things you cannot see!

Hey lady! Umm, I started feeling the symptoms suddenly last night and immediately went to the store for some cranberry juice. Been drinking the hell out of that since last night. I know I need to drink more water too. I have had kidney stones in the past, and I'm not trying to get those again. So i better up the ante on this H2O. Hope you feel better hun! And god I hope it isnt a kidney stone! -------------------- "Insanity is the only sane reaction to an insane society.” -Thomas Szas

that sux!! have you tried drinking tons of water and cranberry juice to see if that helps? sometimes that will clear up a UTI without having to take more antiobiotics. i think they have over the counter UTI meds called AZO that are supposed to help relieve the symptoms also. good luck! Has anyone experienced an increase in discharge with Flagyl?? I am on my 4th day of the medication (orally) and noticed an increase in discharge since yesterday. The pain and irritation is gone (so far)....but I was wondering if this is the infection coming out or if it could be making the infection worse???

I am sorry to hear about your troubles with BV. It does suck. But this message board is an awesome support system. I know my husband was sick of hearing about my on-going vaginal drama and its nice to have a place to go and vent and share tips. You are doing the right thing by getting another doctor. They should def culture it and rule out yeast, etc. Good luck hun! -------------------- "Insanity is the only sane reaction to an insane society.” -Thomas Szas

I have a cure...OK NOT REALLY...BUT...the Tea Tree oil is the worst smelling stuff around!! So....instead of smelling like fish or a garbage disposal all day, I SMELT LIKE TEA TREE OIL!!! So what's worse, smelling like tea tree oil, or fish?? I'll take the tea tree oil. It almost smells like Nail polish remover. Or, Turpen pine. LOL I think I'll do one more tonight. I WOULDN'T USE THE TEA TREE SUPPOSITORIES IF YOU HAVE ANY IRRATATION. You might burn the crap out of your self!! Because it really did feel like menthol up there all night. And every time I rolled over, it felt like someone blowing up there with a couph drop in there mouth. HAHAHAH..YEAH, TRIED THAT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, THAT'S WHY I KNOW THE FEELING!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHA YES, we do discuss some crazy stuff on here!!!! Thank goodness you all can't see how red my face get's sometimes!!! jewels where did you get your tea tree suppositories? i have some tea tree oil in my medicine cabinet that i use on blemishes sometimes. is that the same thing? also just wanted to share that i recently started taking enteric coated peppermint/oregano oil capsules to help with my digestion problems. i've noticed it makes my girly bits smell minty fresh all day! my hubby and i were having sex the other night and all i could smell was the peppermint wafting from my nether region. |

The Jamu stick was ok for me but the other girls here hated it. The Jamu stick will make you so dry, don't even think about having sex because it will rip your insides out. Sorry to be so graphic. hmm then maybe its a no-go for me. I am already kinda dry. Konphusion26, thats where I was on sunday I think...attacking from all angles! LOL I just wasnt sure about continuing use of the boric acid because of the swelling. Did you have any of that? It wasn't like an allergic reaction...because there was no redness and my symptoms were MUCH better- but it was swollen. I was reading old posts in this topic and saw some info on the JAMU stick as well. Some women saw results from that...if any of you are lurking around here- did it work long term? Good luck Konphusion!! Let me know how it goes! The Jamu stick was ok for me but the other girls here hated it.
