OMG, AP - from the very first trailer I saw for the new Star Trek film, all I could think about was "this looks like Kirk/Spock slash come to life" They're just too damn pretty. Needless to say when it comes out, I'll be right there watching. And by all accounts, the film is really really good.

I'm actually reading 'The Love Song of Bastard and Idiot' which is an SS/HP fic, it's a bit slow going but .. I don't think I've read it before. I hit upon a couple of pages of rec's from different authors so I'm reading and re-reading massive amounts of fics lately.

I need to start writing again.

Hey, Tali, there's a new Caffiends Gil/Greg & it's a new relationship story just the way you like 'em. Although, they suddenly have taken on a Brit tone ("Flats" "reckon" & the like.) that's kinda distracting; it's absent in their other fics. Instead of only Nicky getting nabbed in GD, they nabbed poor Greggo, too.

Haha, tell me about it. I wrote drabble so far, and that wasn't easy! BUT I have bunch of notes with ideas that just pop into my mind And sometimes I have some 'serious' ideas, drama and angst for example, but while developing the story and writing it down it somehow turns into crack, lol. Can't help myself to make a comedy of everything

But I'll try to participate in this summer's hd_holidays, that will MAKE me write it down finally!

I'm a good writer, I just have a short attention span and get distracted by the next shiny story that pops into my mind.

My first story I wrote, I *made* myself finish it before I could start the next one. I should have stuck to doing that.

That said, as much as I love my first story .. it really sucks.

Oh yes, please!! That sounds interesting!!

I'm personally fan of these categories: fluff, crackfic, pwp (porn-without-plot, haha), ewe (epilogue-what-epilogue ), drama, action, some kinks, some bdsm an au. I don't like death fics and those too depressive and dark. Slash is for personal relaxation.

I recently read one hilarious fic and I can link you if you want, called 'Freudian Slip'. I know bunch of crackish H/D which made me rotfl.

I have read a few good HD fics ..

One in which they are adults and Harry has written a book which Draco adores, but doesn't know Harry wrote it. Through a series of letters they get reacquainted and eventually end up together. I do not recall the name but it's a good story.

I'll have to dig some out of my archives for you.

I like how opposites draw each other. They are completely different but have some mutual things. There are fics that make it look so natural to happen.

Actually, I was reading HP/SS before I discovered H/D. But all those fics seemed almost same.

I tried watching Smallville, but got irritated by it very soon. Too much of a teen serial, like Buffy. OMG now I remembered Oz!!! I must find some good fics with Toby & Keller. Mmmmm

There is hd_worldcup on LJ at the moment, so I'm enjoying lots of new fics. But I didn't read slash for a very long time just because of the book. I was practically boycotting it. And too many pairings after book 7 came in fandom, and I was a little bit lost, some switch happened. But you should read the book, maybe you find some slashy imagination material in Snape's story.

Me personally, I don't read H/D. I find the pairing near impossible to imagine.

I am a hardcore HP/SS slasher though which somehow is easier for me to imagine as a pairing because they have the similarities. That said, I haven't read the last book and I'm pretending that it doesn't really exist.

I like Smallville slash too .. Lex & Clark forever! I stopped watching the tv show after the third season because the rift was growing between them and I didn't want to watch it. I just read fics that pretend it never happened.

I should read some fanfic ... *digs out some favorites and reads*
