...since it is the last season... WHA? wubbawubbawubba... That's the first I've heard of the series ending. I assume it's a planned demise - we wrap up the story and it all gets resolved, fade to black, etc.? -------------------- |

well, they aren't cylons because cheif's kid would be a half cylon, and they haven't made too much of it. and the song they kept hearing was "all along the watchtower, a hendrix song. hopefully the new season will be all about earth since it is the last season. i just hope it doesn't end up like battlestar 1980. wow that was a bad series....

Other than the mysterious "radio" sounds only they can hear, what evidence do we have that Saul, Tyrol, Sam, and Tory are actually Cylons? I think that's too easy an answer.
I sort of liked Lee shoving the hypocrisy of prosecuting Baltar in their faces, altho' I agree, how was that appropriate testimony? The only way they could get that particular speech into the record, I suppose? Except, as the prosecutor said, all of that could have been said during closing statements. I dunno, it was fairly forced, even if I thought the content was good. -------------------- |

GirlTrouble, you're probably right. It's a pain, anyway.
I'm glad that the Chief was a Cylon - it makes sense, then, that Sharon ended up procreating with Helo. The moment after the trial was nice. Lee looks great in that suit, and I'm glad it was clear that those two were only defending Baltar for justice' sake (assuming the lawyer is not a Cylon). The end was sort of corny, wasn't it? We knew who it was as soon as she was detected, and then that final shot was just over-the-top. The episode wasn't awful, all in all, but I hope next season brings back the kick it lost after the end of season two. -------------------- "I arise in the morning torn by the twin desires to reform the world and to enjoy the world. yeah, it was kind of a let down. and the court scene was a big stinky dooley. the cross examination of what's his head was supposed to be about him hearing his dad say whatever, but he doesn't come close to answering the question, and the opposing council didn't object to that whole speech. personally, i think that whole story line should have been axed. it was a dead end. the cylon aids story was much stronger, more interesting. as for the no episodes till next year, that's standard operating on cable networks. they do it all the time on f/x. they build an audience with battlestar then when the season ends they premere a new show, which i think will be painkiller jane when it's season ends, another new show (the lost room, possibly?), when that show's season is up, another new one or battlestar will be ready. that way if they do their job, they have that day strong all year round. at fx the rotation goes like this: the sheild, rescue me, nip/tuck, and finally, dirt. although dirt did so poorly they will more than likely cancel it. but there's less network risk. it's always tues @10. that's why they are adding the riches to work on their wed. nights. the upside is there are no repeats to wait thru, and hopefully great shows year round. the down side is shorter seasons/fewer episodes (16 instead of 22) and the next season seems like it'll take forevah. (the sheild starts in a week or two, after about the same year long wait). but scifi keeps making these crappy movies, they may not know what a good show was if it bit 'em in the ass. next the'll pro'lly have the new manimal series.... -------------------- "what a swell farewell party! we said goodbye to everything, including the lining in my stomach." - garvey, from the film, born bad "That's one career all females have in common, whether we like it or not: being a woman. I have missed a lot of this season, but I watched the season finale figuring it would go out with a bang....well I was a bit unimpressed.
Glad to hear I am not the only one that was confused about the identies of the final 5. The president or Starbuck? Hmmmm..... I don't really like the chief or Sal as a cylon. No new shows till 08, what is up with that? -------------------- -We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different.

well, i don't think my theory holds water, they can't be cylons, because chief's daughter would be a cylon/human hybred, and we see how much they've gone on about the other baby like that........

There are only 5 "unknown" Cylon, so there is one we don't know about. I at first thought the Prez, then Starbuck...I think Starbuck seems more likely. I think next time Chief sees Brother Cavil it's going to be funny..."So, not a Cylon, am I?"

meant to take bets before the show started, but what do you think, are the people who are hearing static the cylon 6? if you count starbuck that's 2 women (the pres' asst. is the other), 3 men and one mystery person to be determined...

Eh, while a last season sucks, I think the most of "good" story they had was 2 seasons at 16...and then, still alot of filler. 22+ epis sounds just about right, from a storytelling perspective. Plus, I'm betting those 2 mid-season shows will be 2 hours each. Ron Moore's cool like that.

it seems the next season is going to be an odd one: after the season finale, there is going to be a 2 hour special that deals with what happened in the gap between seasons on new caprica, then next year's season is going from the new standard 16 eps, to the traditonal 22 eps, but it will be the last season. all this according to g4tv. -------------------- "what a swell farewell party! we said goodbye to everything, including the lining in my stomach." - garvey, from the film, born bad "That's one career all females have in common, whether we like it or not: being a woman. I have no doubt Starbuck's a Cylon - though in interviews, the actors have denied it.
Any other guesses? I'm still suspicious of Tory, but she might just be on the brink of a breakdown. Anders, maybe. And wouldn't it be great if they brought back an old character like Billy? I know this season's been up and down, but their season finales are usually right on. Do you remember the end of last season!? Ohhh. I'm getting nostalgic and embarrassingly geeky. -------------------- "I arise in the morning torn by the twin desires to reform the world and to enjoy the world. the next ep looks like they are going to get back on track, and as much as i thought the ep tonight was alright, the last few have felt like filler. they've been promising that someone will find earth and a few other things, but i hope not. battlestar 1980 was, to my mind the worst show to ever hit the televison. the preview looked good, but the season finale is always just enough filler to keep you hanging on....:/ -------------------- "what a swell farewell party! we said goodbye to everything, including the lining in my stomach." - garvey, from the film, born bad "That's one career all females have in common, whether we like it or not: being a woman. oh i don't think there's any doubt that she's a tincan. it was pro'lly me but i was bored silly by last night's ep. starbuck gone? yah, good riddance. i loved her at first too, but now? eh. or maybe, i hate to say it, i'm getting bored with the series. the last couple of eps arent about cylons or them being chased, but just colonist stuff. i miss the action elements. maybe the next ep will change that.
i miss lucy lawless too. she was great! -------------------- "what a swell farewell party! we said goodbye to everything, including the lining in my stomach." - garvey, from the film, born bad "That's one career all females have in common, whether we like it or not: being a woman. Thanks vesica!
Sidecar - don't worry about posting in white for me. My fault for looking in a thread on a show that I haven't seen yet. I think the general rule here is it should only be whited out if the show hasn't aired in the States yet. I try to resist spoilers, but I am weak..... -------------------- In times of destruction, create something.

I love Starbuck way too much for a television character, and I truly hope that they have something planned down the road that makes tonight's episode worthwhile. Her destiny has to be greater than just dying. Hell, Kat got a better sendoff. And she sucked. Starbuck died?!!! Please tell me it's not so. I don't get to watch this week's epi until Wednesday... -------------------- |

Does anyone know when BSG Season 3 will be on DVD? VideoETA just says "we anticipate it will be released in the near future" but you can sign up to be notified when it is. -------------------- |
