Hey. Anyone out there with a big bust who lost a lot of weight?
Everyone kept telling me I'd lose from the bust area first of all,
but I've lost 28 lbs and nothing from the girls. I've actually had to go
UP a cup size to a G, since my band has become 1 size smaller
but my breasts have not. It's really annoying, not to mention expensive,
since I have more weight to lose and have to change bra size a couple
of more times. I naturally can't go without. :-P

I only have 2 bras right now, so I have to wash them in the sink daily
or every other day. It's not super convenient, but buying underwear
on the internet is too much of a hassle - and there aren't any stores
around that carry my size anymore since I went up a cup. Blah.

I just noticed this forum from a friendly link on www.hiddenfeet.com

Lots of stuff to read here! She posted about this message thread a few months ago - great to see it still alive.

Hi there peeps...

I cringed last week when going to get proper fitting bras (18(40)E/F - i had been squeezing, very unsuccessfully, into 20DDs before). $NZ 50 for the cheapest blink.gif huh.gif crazy expensive, when you are used to being able to buy two for that price. The thought did cross my mind that i could survive in DDs, but since buying and wearing properly fitted bras, so much more comfortable. Back pain has been greatly reduced tongue.gif

Another thing... I found finding out that my bust was bigger than i thought somewhat devistating. But there is not much that i can do about it (exercise is a friend of mine, but doesn't seem to help make my cup size decrease), and my husband doesn't seem to mind that much laugh.gif

Right....

Love and Peace

OMG!! I thought I would NEVER EVER EVER find a swimsuit that fit! Last week I ordered a two piece tankini swimsuit from www.biggerbras.com and it is seriously the BEST swimsuit I have ever gotten! I even got lucky enough to get the right size on the first try! Now I can go to Hawaii this month and not be afraid of the beach or the pool.

I'm so excited!

I made membership card of Neiman Marcus & Nord Strom, then pay minimum amount each month. Otherwise, I'll broke to pay for my bras! Ah~~~ sad.gif

Once you get something that you KNOW fits, try online. That's probably the only way to get a cheaper deal. My local store has prices comparable to online, so I just go there where I know I can try them on. 'Course I usually pay ~$150 for a bra (makes me think twice about losing weight ... or so I tell myself).

I (We) really want swimwear shop to carry big cup sizes! Even Nord Strom & Neiman Marcus don't have them! So I order swimwear from www.figleaves.com & www.undiebox.com, but I can't buy several items at once. So it's tricky to find right one. Customer like me, order & exchange many times until find good size..... It takes lots of time & energy sad.gif

I'm 30ff & short person, so I understand your problem!
I also recommend to check with chiropractor for your back pain.

I'm a 30FF and sometimes I feel like my body is too small for my boobs. I get a lot of back pain. I have been professionally fitted and wear very supportive bras but that's not enough. Any suggestions to ease the strain on my back?

I have been reading this board for a while, and have seen the same question about where to find cute bras pop up again and again. I have chosen to share my one day web surfing find! I am a 32F and for a long time couldn't find anything that wasn't white or beige, much less cute!! I found this site Bravissimo surfing one day. I have now been ordering from them for 3 years and have loved everything I've gotten! The thing is that they are in the UK. Now I thought that would be extremely expensive too, but after doing the math even after money conversion plus shipping it was still cheaper than picking up the same brands here in the states. (Yes I was shocked when I found that out too!!) They have really great things like tube tops, halter tops, spaghetti strap tops, pj's, dresses, button shirts, jackets, swimsuits (bikinis, tankinis, and full), and of course bras and panties. They get new styles every couple of months, and have really great pattern selections! I encourage you guys to check out the website!

So I went into Lane Bryant a couple of weeks ago and omg.... (cue enlightening harp music) they had what I was looking for! Yay! For years I had been buying bras in Walmart, KMart, and even Sears and stuff and hopelessly squeezing myself into a 40D, which seems to be the largest size those places carry. Why did I torture myself like this for all these years?? tongue.gif

Anyway, I ended up getting two non-wire Cacique bras in 40DDD and what an amazing difference. I came home and threw all my old bras away. Since wearing my new bras I haven't had that pain in and underneath my breasts, and I also haven't gotten digging red marks and that awful strain on my shoulders. I was amazed too at how I looked different in my clothes because I was actually supported! The one thing that I really love is that there is this wide, flat elastic band around my ribcage so I don't have those wires digging into the undersides of my boobs anymore, plus they don't try and "sneak out" from underneath like they had been doing hehe . I can totally feel the instant difference in support and comfort.

Just wanted to share my elation, and thank you all for inspiring me to start "treating my girls right." wink.gif

I'm not sure what you mean by "privacy reasons". Except for my training bra, I've always been fitted with a bra on so it's not worse than walking around in a bikini (better, actually 'cause you keep your pants on).

There are places that sell swimsuits by bra size, but you need to be fitted. From your description, I would be shocked if you WEREN'T wearing the wrong size.

Kaie, honey, really. You're a grown-up, you should get fitted. There is no reason to feel uncomfortable. Remember that the shop assistant has breasts, too & she sees boobies all the time so yours won't be any different. And look at it this way, is saving yourself few minutes of discomfort worth walking around with ugly tits/uncomfortable garments? Because that's what happens when you buy an ill-fitting bra/swimtop. Gather your ovaries & just do it, chica! I promise it won't hurt a bit & you won't be emotionally scarred for life!

Ok so i am a 34D, i think (never been formerly fitted for privacy reasons) and the only bras on the market are 36Ds with removable straps so I can do crisscross straps. Those are the only bras that fit. Is there a good online swimsuit catalog that would allow me to find a bikini to fit? all the ones ive seen only go up to 34C and ive found that buying a bigger bikini and tying it tight is as uncomfortable as trying to fit my breasts into tiny cups. i dont want to look like a porn star (almost busting out) and with summer coming up i need help!!!!!!

You should get fitted!!!! I thought I was a 34D too but it turns out I'm a 32DDD, and let me tell you I don't know how I LIVED before in those 34D bras. So uncomfortable. Anyways, get fitted.....you don't have to get naked, at least I didn't. That's the first step. Don't invest in a bra that you're not sure is the right size for you... And I know how you feel about looking like a porn star, I'm in the same boat... I don't know what to do either!!!! So let me know when you find out haha. I guess all I can say is try on the suits, don't order from an online store unless you can return it. OK good luck.....get fitted!

I use the Enell sports bra. The Enell is kind of like a vest that just flattens your breasts against your chest. It fits like a straight jacket but there's no bounce which makes it more comfortable to exercise in. I use the Enell for jogging.

Hi, My name's Letty. I'm new on here. I actually joined because i found this thread, and I have a question I'm hoping someone can help with. I recently started dieting once that pesky BMI chart labelled me as "overweight" To be specific, I was 150 lbs, 5'3'' and a size 34DD (which is very hard to find a sports bra size for because my breasts are more wide than they stick out) I want to start exercising more vigorously, but it seems like any exercise I do is very painful with the bouncing! Granted, my chest is not as large as some I've just read on here, but it seems to be big enough to cause some serious pain! Do any of you have the same problem? What do you do about it?
(I have tried the double bra-it doesnt do a darn thing, and I would be devastated to lose what a lot of girls would consider a great gift, so breast reduction is not on my happy list!)

I hate humid summers for this very reason, its best to wear a cotton bra (not underwired if you can) so the perspiration can evaporate. I also put DrScholl foot powder in my bra - don't laugh - it really works - my mum ha been using it for years, its coarser than baby powders & seems to work better!

In addition to this, I have even used an unscented deodorant and found it helps. Strange but true!

Um, darlin', could you be any more vague? He "wants to do certain things"? What does that mean? He wants to titty fuck you or something? What hand does he have in your support?

QUOTE(srose36HH @ Mar 29 2008, 09:48 PM) *
Hey all! I am new to the site, and need some support. No pun intended. I am a 36HH after getting fitted properly for the first time this past week. I had been jammed into a 36/38 DD. Needless to say I was surprised. I am one of the lucky ones without back pain though. Anyway, for the support issue... my husband wants to do certain "things" that I do not have any experience with. Anyone with experience, please let me know. This is really embarrassing. Thanks. dry.gif

In general, if you go up a band size, you need to go down a cup size to keep the same cup volume.

In your case it sounds like your cups are too small if the wires are leaving marks on your breasts because the wires should sit on your chest (on the side), not on your breasts. It sounds like you need to find an independent lingerie store to get properly fitted. Department stores don't carry the larger band or cup sizes. The chain lingerie stores (like LaSenza or La Vie En Rose) don't carry the larger sizes either, but the independent ones do (and they carry pretty ones).

I wore a 36 DD and had problems like you describe. Turns out that's because I'm a 36F when I'm properly fitted. Also, the straps should not be carrying the weight of your breasts. You should be able to slip a finger under them. The band should fit tight enough so that it doesn't ride up in the back. Because department stores don't carry the larger cup sizes, many women wear back sizes that are too large to get a cup size that fits but then don't get the support (which comes mostly from the band).

i know ap bumped this for me a couple days ago, but it just occurred to me i didn't actually post here. oops. anyway, i wear a 38C, and i'm pretty sure that's the right size, but maybe i need to go to a 40C? does such a thing exist? my mom swears it does, but i can't find any! of course, i am looking at k-mart and wal-mart (ugh, but it's all there is) but, yeah. i always wind up with red marks under my boobs from the wires and strap marks on my shoulders, no matter if i let the straps out all the way or not. i'm tired of being uncomfortable dammit!
