msp, it's difficult to see but when you go into the f-word (for example) above all the f-word threads it says the f-word in the pink leopard print strip and beside it there's a tiny black arrow pointing downwards. Click on it and the options are there to mark thread as read. I couldn't see it for looking at first, either!

Loving the new boards a lot. My one suggestion? If I open a forum - F-Word, for example - and only read one thread, my preference would be for the whole forum to be marked as read. Does that make sense? I've already checked that forum and read all I plan to read. OR, if there was a way to "mark all as read" within each forum rather than just the entire board.

I noticed something else while in Working Girls just now. I'm listed as the thread/topic starter under Don't Make Me Shush You - Librarians' Thread and I did not start that thread! I wonder why that happened. |

On the board I run, admittedly with different software, I've installed a mod where you cannot start a thread until you have made 5 posts - that's cut down on a lot of the spambots. Also, I added an account activation key where on the memberlist, you do not show up on the public list until you've made 5 posts, and any web addresses you enter in your profile do not show up until 10 posts - to prevent the spambots from garnering google ranking by their links in membership profiles.
I don't know if there are similar mods for invision software, but its an idea that might be worth looking into to minimize moderator cleanup time.
