Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.

I thought this quote was so lovely, I will memorise it and keep it close always.

QUOTE(mandolyn @ Nov 1 2006, 11:15 PM) *

good to know how to find the old threads, thanks bunny.

sorry i stepped on toes and inadvertantly opened up a can of worms. i just think sometimes people get a little over-vigilant on the no-creating-new-threads-without-permission policy. especially lately.

plus, um, i like peterbilt and sort of wanted to "get his back". even tho he needs no back-getting.

*clamping down on tongue firmly*

TOTALLY, this is not the old lounge where things go gazoo with too much bandwidth, etc. Relax peeps.

I loved the Hitchhiker's Guide book when I was a kid, but as excited as I was about the movie being made, I thought it bit big giant toes, altho ironically, the mr (who hadn't read the book a zillion times before) loved it.
but, I'm not against boobytrapping my yard against tresspassers w/ flatted shovels to spring up & whallop them square in the face repeatedly. smile.gif

Oh who cares? it's not like the lounge is that cluttered these days. I'll put my hand up to being one of those over-vigilant and busy-body people and it's not really worth my time. As I said, I was crabby so I apologise *insert suitable apology here*.

It was the whole attitude of asking is beneath me, so I'll start it anyway as what I have to say is of the utmost importance and cannot wait.

Okay. Having had the pleasure of meeting (or is it having had the pleasure of having met?) Peterbilt in person, I can assure you that this is so not the case.

I have to say I like the title of this thread as well. I think it should stay.

This isn't going to die, is it?

I like the thread title too but I was being crabby so didn't say so.

Finding the hibernating threads isn't difficult if you know how - that's not me being bitchy, it's the truth. You go to particular thread and scroll to bottom where there are a group of drop down boxes and change the one that says from: 30 days to show all then click go. Yeah, not exactly abc but if someone had asked in the community forum then someone else would have told them how to find the thread or, better yet, bumped it for them. It was the whole attitude of asking is beneath me, so I'll start it anyway as what I have to say is of the utmost importance and cannot wait. At least I'm consistent at being pissed off when people pull that crap and not just when it's newbies.

um, obviously I'm still a bit crabby.

i actually like this thread title.
and fwiw, taint that easy finding "hibernating" threads.
not being bitchy, just my two cents.

Sorry if I came off sounding harsher than I intended. I was simply trying to inform Peterbilt that this thread did not need to be created, as the original one still exists.

Lounge lady doesn't delete threads unless they are offensive or spam.

To everyone else: perfect example of why we ask before starting; old threads aren't dead, just in hibernation.

Well, frankly I wish you would have asked about it, because the original quote thread still exists. In fact, I'll bump it for you.

Here's a link, too.

Sorry. I looked, really I did. I thought the mods had deleted it. Apparently I didn't do my due diligence well enough. Anyway, thanks.

OK, I'm bringing back the Quote of the Day thread, and I'm not asking anybody's permission, dammit. Because that's just how I roll. And you know you love this thread. You do.

Here, I'll start.
