nothing has worked for me except boric acid and change of diet. No sugar, no yeast (breads, etc.)I tried Rephresh, Enzara, Jamu Stick, vitamin C, hydrogen peroxide. Rephresh worked at first but no longer

HI all,
I been strugglin with BV off and on for the past two years. But now I've had it for six months straight. Metrogel just clumped up and just when the clumping stopped, it came back full forced. I ordered Enzara off Ebay and that didn't work so now I'm looking into more things. After some of these posts, im quite scared of Vitamin C! Im thinking about buying tetrasil or Salusil or MEsosilver. Has anyone tried these? |

Hi Bincha 2,
How is the metrogel working for you? I have been BV free and I was given Flayll orally. In terms of cervical dyplasia they say its associated to HPV. Cervical dyplasia just means abnormal development of tissue covering the cervix. The majority of women whom have cervical dyplasia have at least some strain of HPV. Therefore yes they can be related. My case is fairly mild and will hopefully clear. This website explains what cervical dyplasia is and how it is associated with HPV. Good luck. http://www.mjbovo.com/Women/Dysplasia.htm Hi Alwaysonmymind, My Doctor says the same thing she won¡¦t remove the cells and wants to check back with me in August to see if it has gone away. So far I am BV free and I have been having sex this is the longest its been for me. I can¡¦t believe what your BF said about your bodies not being compatible then you guys are not compatible that is so stupid! I told my BF I never had these issues till he came along so he took all the blame. ƒº So far everything has been okay no smell. Has the doctor given you any medication? Take care, Mela |

Try the boric acid! It is easy and fun to fill the capsules. Just insert before bedtime and it will dissolve overnight painlessly. You won't feel a thing, unless you feel it with a finger if you go looking for it. I've been using them for a week so far after a round of antibiotics and things are going marvelously. |

Hey Ladies!I was just wondering if anyone here has ever tried fasting with herbs?I'm trying this thing that the herbalist suggested to me called the Zapper.I've been using it for the past 3 days and it seems it helps with the symptoms but it's not a cure so don't everyone go out and buy a Zapper.I started fasting today and I'm taking my usual herbal supplements too.So, with the combination of herbs, zapping, and fasting I'm hoping I can beat this thing soon.I will let everyone know how everything goes!
P.S. I think it's a great idea for everyone to post things that have worked for them that way we can eliminate the things that don't. |

Has anyone tried or thought of trying the vaginal vitamin D by the Today company? I put the web address up several pages ago. I know jewelscando had tried regular vitamin C up her hooha (i think it was jewel) and it burned like the dickens.
It seems like a good idea, but I guess you can only buy it from Canada. And the boric acid is readily available in any drugstore. I guess I'll try it and see what happens. Seems to be the tried and true remedy. Oh and case anyone is interested, here's where I found the vag vit c after an friggin' long search. (sorry, I don't know how to link, but I copied and pasted the web address) http://www.feelbest.com/pages/todaysponge.aspx And I've been wondering what makes this stuff different from the regular C that you find in a drug store, and finally found this blurb on a website. Apparently it's encased in silicone. http://www.chatelaine.com/health/article.jsp?content=20060510_132653_5892 Why can't they make this stuff available in the US?? Manufacturers would get a buncha money if they did. Like the Diva cup--can't get it in the US, but you can order it from Canada. Weird. Ooh, on preview looks like I did create some links. |

For the boric acid, I use size OO empty vegetarian gel capsules. I bought 50 for $2.50 at a local health store. The boric acid took me a while to find but it is at Walmart around the hyrdrogen peroxide. I got a good sized bottle for $3.00. I have been using two filled capsules per night. I think most people say to use them for 7-14 days or as needed. I have found the easiest way to fill them is to pour some of the boric acid on to a sheet of paper, scoop up the powder inside the pills, and then fold the paper and slide the remaining powder back into the plastic container.

sassy, I have been curious about using the boric acid for a while now but have not had the courage to try it yet. I guess I am afraid it will burn but I am at a point now I don't care just as long as the smell is gone. I have seen it online but I am not sure which one to buy. I have also read about the vitamin c but it seems like there have been more good with the boric acid. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm swearing by the boric acid. It's so cheap and easy to use and I haven't had any odor or BV discharge for almost 2 weeks!

Well girls, I got pissed off last night, pulled out the old medicine type dropper, stuck the tube of Tetrasil to it, and filled it about half way, and put it up there. Woke up this morning and the smell was gone. So, I think I'll give it another shot tonight and see what happens??? I haven't used that stuff since we all went crazy with it a while back, and thought, hey, what could it hurt. In the past we just put some on the finger and rubbed it around, and this time, I did it like a Monistat. So, I'll let you all know what happens!! To some of you newbies. DON'T GO BUY TETRASIL. It doesn't really work long term. I just decided to use it since I had it.

Mela, I too have the same type of HPV you do and chronic BV. About four years ago I had sex with someone and all of sudden my body changed. I started to get BV and yeast infections very easily. Every time I had sex with my partner I got BV. Condoms work for me. I don't get infections when I use them. I have to use them now that I have cervical dyplesia. We'll after many normal paps I finally had an abnormal one! We'll my doc said my hpv is very mild and is monitoring it. I found out exactly a year ago. I want a Leep already! But, my doc says he wants to see if it will go away by itself. I honestly believe my HPV is related to BV! Anyways, I was fine until I got into another commited relationship. We finally had unprotected sex and I got BV in a day. Thank goodness your BF was supportive. Mine was an ass saying if our bodies were not compatible we were not compatible. This is has been very hard on me too. It sucks! Some girls have tried Pro-Biotics. Thank you girls for this thread, I am so glad I can talk to people who can acutally RELATE to what I am going through
