Dita sort of annoys me but I too think it's a shame they're splitting. MM came across as articulate and political in Michael Moore's 9/11 film; I liked to think they were a like-minded, unconventional, functional and happy twosome.

Interesting that the article quoted her source as saying that "She loved him so much, but he has too many demons." I guess I figured his weirdness was mostly an act for the stage and that he was probably a pretty normal guy IRL. Not that normal people don't have demons, but the description of the state of their relationship (he's completely uncommunicative) makes him sound pretty self-repressive and I guess that's not how I pictured him. Especially after they've been together for 8 years.

so, I'm maybe starting an internet rumour here but how long do you think it will be until Jude Law and Cameron Diaz are caught smooching (despite her aversion to photographers)?

Veronica Finn is an ex girlfriend who Cameron is insanely jealous of. Justin spent New Year at Kate Hudson't party, they were very close all night and at one stage went upstairs together and when they returned Kate had changed her outfit.

Free spirit, his press secretary noticed the same thing:

Obama's press secretary, Tommy Vieto, responded: "Though I'd note that the 's' and 'b' keys aren't all that close to each other, I assume it was just an unfortunate mistake, and don't think there was any truly malicious intent." (Associated Press)

I'm guessing it was an unfortunate mistake too, although reading about that reminded me of another Wolf Blitzer-related gaffe. This one happened shortly after Hurricane Katrina; Blitzer was interviewing someone (I don't recall who) on his show, and he came out with this little gem: "And you see all these people [stranded New Orleanians] on news footage, and they're all so poor, and they're so black!"

Uh, foot-in-mouth, much? That one got him some press coverage, and I'm sure he was walking around with egg on his face for a while. Jeez!

One more thing (that I thought was funny)

CNN apologized Tuesday for mistakenly promoting a story on the search for Osama bin Laden with the headline "Where's Obama?"

A spokesman for Illinois Sen. Barack Obama said the apology was accepted.

The blunder came Monday evening on Wolf Blitzer's news show "The Situation Room." Both Soledad O'Brien and Blitzer offered separate apologies during CNN's morning show Tuesday.

I'd note that the `s' and `b' keys aren't all that close to each other, I assume it was just an unfortunate mistake.

Ok, I'm going to try to report some celeb gossip again! Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz broke up.

New York Daily News said:

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz appear to have called it quits, according to Star magazine. The actress, 34, spent Christmas with her family at the Vail Mountain Resort in Colorado, while Timberlake was with his family at home near Memphis, where he allegedly told friends at the Senses nightclub, "Me and Cameron? We're done."

Timberlake spent several days with blond real-estate broker Veronica Finn , who like Timberlake is 25 and a singer. In fact, she was briefly in a girl group with Britney Spears , another Timberlake ex, who closely resembles her.

Diaz and Timberlake have been together since 2003, and while he was a no-show at her "The Holiday" premiere last month, Diaz introduced him on "Saturday Night Live" and partied with him at Barca 18 here just before Christmas. Timberlake's rep Ken sunshine was in transit; Diaz's didn't comment.

Man, nobody stays together anymore sad.gif
I'm still *very* upset over Nick and Jessica....Did anyone see him and Minnilo (sp) kiss when the clock struck midnight on the MTV NYE special?
Jess has seemed so down without Nick.

Fox News has a link to it on their website.

Maude forbid a boobie fall out on TV, but a good timey hanging is fun for all! Good Christian fun!

BTW, Pat Robertson has predicted the future for us. Quick to the fall-out shelter!

The whole idea of people gathered around a TV or a computer screen to witness a hanging is too "dark ages" for me. I found the whole "news" dilemma to be cynical bullshit. So your "newsshow" loses a few bucks because you decide not to publicize an execution--tough! I do not want to think we are yet again living in a society so puritanical and so blind that we would need that kind of bloodlust to feel justifiable as a society--for "entertainment". Followed up with commentary by Entertainment Tonight!

And I should not be allowed to even make a statement about Cosmetic Surgery porn. Whether it's in Vogue or in a supposedly underground market that somehow ends up diluting itself into readily accessible media everywhere. So I'm censoring myself. Let me just say WTF and leave it at that.

I just DO NOT watch that stuff. I'll occasionally watch a horror movie if it is really obviously fake, like Peter Jackson's early zombie movie or something.

But I do not need images of dead burnt bodies and the like to be stuck in my brain.

I still remember some of the early American Civil War photos.

I think it's disgusting that you can hardly turn on a TV or even look through a fashion magazine without seeing some gross, gory thing. Although they seem to have stopped publishing graphic pictures of cosmetic surgery in magazines.
