This is what happens when you watch your kid's movies with them.
The chorus to a song from Madagascar II for at least three days now. I wake up with it in my head. "She like my eyes, She thinks I'm funky. She like my thighs, She like me chunky." Those of you who have heard the song know EXACTLY why it's stuck in my head. Ooh, that Barry White-ish voice... |

When we swam our love to pieces
We washed up on messy beaches You cleaned dry I would not drift yet I should drink salt water to forget Oh why, oh why, oh why Won’t you sing Bring your hips to me Oh bring your hips to me Well once I arrived But you would not receive me I wanted it all You could not tell Then I paid expensive attention to detail The fall of your face The wish of the well The rush of the push The length of the spell And you won’t Bring your hips to me Oh bring your hips to me You tug so lightly on me Work like you are on vacation While I was swept wide I wept for you across the nation All my love I deny When they place their hands On both my sides Thao with The Get Down Stay Down -"When We Swam" -------------------- always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

One of my friends posted a good song on her FB wall. Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens. The right kind of music for a snowy, stuck under the covers day.

"A Winter Carol." The new Tori Amos cd.
I may buy it. Right now, I'm previewing it on Youtube. I didn't even know she had a new cd. I haven't bought anything from her in years. |

"Woke Up This Morning" by Alabama 3. I can't believe I didn't get the song before now. It kicks so much ass.

QUOTE empire state of mind (jay z). I canNOT stop listening to it that is a great song... and his blueprint 3 got lukewarm reviews, but i rather like it. i think it's jay's most mature album yet. QUOTE A Silent Night With You - Tori Amos from her album "Midwinter Graces". i've been wondering how that cd is. i'm a little wary that it's going to be a little too tori cliche, if that makes sense. |

omfg. does anyone ever have the experience of having a song--some random, out of the blue song--all of the sudden permeate their day? "ain't no sunshine" is one of those today. no less than 3 times today has it come on my radar in some form...

doodle, those are some amazing lyrics! Very powerful!
My current stuck-in-my-head songs are "If I Had You" by Adam Lambert (I know, I know), and also "I Would Do Anything For Love" by Meatloaf AND! "Don't Turn Around" by Ace of Base. I don't know why "Don't Turn Around", though - I haven't heard it in ages! Bah. -------------------- Vixi liber et moriar. |

"part of the problem" by R.Stevie Moore. I am glued to my headphones since i got some of his albums, and i am blown away by his pop genius.
Also Dead Mantra by Dead Skeletons (with Anton Newcombe from the Brian Jonwstown Massacre). Cleansing. -------------------- "It was when I found out I could make mistakes that I knew I was on to something"- Ornette Coleman
