Well, I'm not really sure where to post this because it's not exactly bizarro (well, most of it isn't, anyway), but I found this awesome gallery of really old vintage pinups and I just had to share it. You have to be a deviantart member and change your filter settings to view them, but it's so worth it. They are so cool. I'm going to print a bunch of them and hang them in my apartment.

I looked up the nutritional profile for a serving of that thing and it's UNBELIEVABLE! Takes the phrase "heart attack on a plate" out of the figurative realm. Crazy. Crazy. turducken ain't got nothin on the Bacon Explosion: http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion now THAT'S a heart attack on a plate. Although you can't really hate anything that features a "bacon weave." |

I loved this one, the photos were great, but it was reading the commentaries that really killed me. For anyone who hasn't checked out that shitmydadsays thing somewhere below, it's a must. Especially for us sorry saps who can relate personally. I wish I could blow off all the shit my dad ever said by making a joke of it. Geez Pepper, I'm starting to feel like I'm stalking you today; I'm finding you everywhere! (But this is always a good thing). Anyway, you DID NOT send that to a natural parenting site and have people defend it??!! OMG. I am speechless. Admittedly I only made it to the second page, slightly past the "meat baby".
polly: thanks for reporting the "spam". I already reported "airporthoneys" if any of you should run into him and his escort service ads. -------------------- "The U.S. is the only nation on Earth to pass from barbarism into decadence without once passing through an era of civilization."

If you'd eat turkey, duck, and chicken separately, I don't see what the big deal is. If you're a vegetarian, or you don't care for one of them (or the thought of them all together), I can understand the disgust. Turducken certainly isn't something I'd want to eat every day because of its nutritional content, but once in awhile- bring it on! Wonder if they can find a way to get some bacon between the layers.
ETA: Oh yeah, and spam has been reported. "Spam"...how ironic. -------------------- You went to school where you were taught to fear and to obey, be cheerful, fit in, or someone might think you're weird.

SORRY! I know, I only got to the start of page three before I felt myself turning green. How can just looking at pictures of that stuff make you feel so sick? Amazing. Know what's even more amazing? I posted that on a natural mama site (homebirth, cloth diapers, baby wearing, co-sleeping, anti-vaxination) and most of the women who commented were like "What's so bad about ______?" or "That ____ looked good!" And, get this, "We're desperately looking for a turducken." Urgh, gag! I looked up the nutritional profile for a serving of that thing and it's UNBELIEVABLE! Takes the phrase "heart attack on a plate" out of the figurative realm. Crazy. Crazy.
The yogurt ad was too awesome. Made me cringe and laugh all at the same time. |

Eurgh! Why, Pepper, why? For the love of all that's holy, why would you do that?
*goes to throw all food out of kitchen as she won't be eating for a week* ETA: I loved the yoghurt ad! Is it wrong that I was disappointed that they didn't play the a cappella group's gang bang song? I like barbershop -------------------- “Logic is the art of going wrong with confidence.”

I know! Isn't it depressing? I was reading that and listening to Joy Division and it was enough to give me my own existential crisis.

I went to that site. It seemed it was more like "let's make fun of poor people who shop at walmart." It seemed really classist to me and not funny at all. Just mean. I don't think it's making fun of the poor but making fun of those with poor taste. Being poor does not necessarily have to mean that you have to have poor taste as well. And I am quite sure that not only poor people shop at Walmart. |
