The shipping price to Canada puts this out of the league of what I would spend, but someone here might want this; the 1998 Sex issue. It is really hard to find.

Okay finally feeling brave enough. I put up a handful of books and magazines and media that I could bear to part with, a few days ago. This is my first auction it's actually kind of fun. I'm not ready to do clothes yet. I hope I'm doing everything right.
Behold, some stuff, ~La stuff~ If anyone has more experience in ebaying and has some tips in selling they'll be gracefully appreciated, when it comes to paypal issues and shipping and so on.. I linked up to auctiva who provide the scrolling display thing It displays when you scroll down They also provide templates, but I'm not sure about integrating them into the page. Is there a better site for that sort of thing? Bueller? -------------------- you cannot erase the reality of me

Excuse me posting to myself here today, but I think this dress is a peach (I love the texture), but the measurements are out of my league 36" bust, 30" waist, 38.5" hip pretty dress
Also, I've seen dresses on ebay for hundred$, but $2799? For a frock? And it's ugly! No. -------------------- you cannot erase the reality of me

Are there any folks in the lounge who have listings on Ebay? I'd love to browse your listings. (Ebay junkie). I'm going to start selling too, in fact I put my first listing up tonight just to see how it all works and if I like doing it.
To date I've bought many fine dresses, pretty slips, a typewriter, books, a digital camera, jewelry, facial washes, music scores, unusual fabrics, lord have mercy. -------------------- you cannot erase the reality of me

Oh I haven't/am not going to buy the dress. I just don't like it when people lie. Its just a worry that someone might buy it and be fooled, when they could buy it for less on their high street, brand new. Thats all.

Punker..there are ways to report it, but I don't know the steps. If you go on the discussions boards to Trust and safety and ask there, they can give you all the links to report. However given that it is not a major fraud, I doubt ebay will act very quickly. Did you buy it or are you just trying to save someone from buying a vintage dress that isn't really vintage? Frankly if it's the dress you want, I'd bid even if it was advertized as vintage.

Could you say they falsely advertised and ask for a refund? They might not give it but you could try...

I just want to have a little rant. Why do ebay sellers think they can lie? The other day my friend was wearing a gorgeous dress so of course I asked her where it was from. It was from primark ( a very cheap clothes store, which produces fashionable clothes at a quarter of the price of most stores). She had bought it the week before. That evening I went on ebay and lo and behold that dress was there being advertised as a vintage dress from the 50's. Not vintage style, or retro. But actual vintage. Is this allowed? If not, where would you report the person to? I know just what you mean..... I usually have great results with buys from e-bay BUT, I have been waiting for what was described as a rare, jade and sterling silver thumb ring. The picture made it look absolutely beautiful and I was soooo excited to add it to my jade jewelry collection. WELL! It has arrived and I am now the proud owner of a HUGE, jade-ish and metal? NAPKIN RING HOLDER. This thing DOES fit around my thumb BUT it is sooooo thick that I couldn't wear it and close my hand at the same time and it looks just the size of a napkin holder ring and everyone who's seen it says so too! Also, the "silver" work on the outside of the "ring" was apparently soldered on to the metal liner, after the fact, so it makes me think they just got this napkin ring holder and slapped a pretty decoration on it. Not at all jewelry quality. I was so sad, and I left the comment on feedback that it was a napkin ring holder, not a jewelry ring. Unfortunately it is only 1 of 2 that I bought and the 2nd hasn't arrived yet so I am pretty sure I'm gonna end up with a SET of napkin ring holders! I don't know if there is anyone to complain to since it's pretty much BUYER BEWARE on e-bay, right? I could be wrong tho...... oh well, guess I'll go buy some pretty napkins.... ha ha ha |

Kitten, I'm guessing it's pretty hot, but porous enough to permit enough oxygen for a while. I own some dresses out of lycra that shiny, and it's not as impermeable as, say, stretch PVC would be.
I wouldn't want to wear something like that for more than 20 minutes though. 'Course respiratory disease is what kills in my family, and I get short of breath just contemplating the slightest obstruction to my nose. Yoiks. |

Holy Crap! Have you ever seen a zentai?
I can't decide if I am disturbed or intrigued. I kinda like the mermaid zentai. There are all different colors and styles-check out the rest of the store! -------------------- I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States Against Anything Un-American and to the Republicans for which it stands, two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions, Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants, children of illegal immigrants, and you if you don't watch your step. -Matt Groening, Life in Hell |
