My blog is in its infancy, and I would love some (reciprocal- I'm happy to return the favor!) input/participation from other BUST fans. I'm attempting to plan a low-drama-small-budget wedding, and I would love to hear how you you married ladies tied the knot and any words of wisdom you have to share!

I agree, I like the idea of sharing our blogging endeavors with other BUSTies!
My friend Megan and I are currently in the process of writing content for a web magazine we created called Midnight Snack. We don't have anything up yet, but it's going to be a mix of pop culture-related things (music, film, television) and also things to do in the metro-Detroit area (places to eat, events that are fun, local businesses we love). We decided to use the term "web magazine" because we don't want people to think we're a blah-blah-blog. Once we have things up, I will definitely share the link. But for now, know that it's out there. Even if you aren't from or care about Detroit. I don't have a personal blog, but I'm thinking of creating one once I'm done with college to share my successes and failures in the world of working twenty-somethings. I don't expect people will ever read it, but I'm weighing my options on the matter. If I do it, I just hope my sense of humor shows through ;-) |

I think it's a great idea to check out the blogs of fellow Busties - it's a chance to discuss topics of interest and to offer each other some much-appreciated support! I'm excited to read personal articles by fellow feminists.
For those of you who may be interested, here's the link to my own blog: http://ohmymassilia.wordpress.com Also, I'm currently attempting a sort of social experiment that involves saying "fuck you" to makeup for a day! If you'd like to participate, here's the direct link to that post: http://ohmymassilia.wordpress.com/2010/10/...restore-beauty/ Stay in touch! Love, Your Kitty |

Yeah there's the travel thread in family and friends. There's a blog feature in the lounge that GirlTrouble used to use, though no one else seemed to. I don't know if your Bust i.d. is something you mind anyone else knowing about, but at least other Busties could enjoy it, yeah?
ET: oops the thread is in ATWT & I see Aural already bumped it |

Yeah, I don't think China's too crazy about networking. Windows Live may be an option, though. I'll look into it. I was absolutely, utterly heartbroken today to discover that I can't access Postsecret here. Gah.
Anyway, in the meantime, is there a travel thread or something where I can post about my life in China? -------------------- To be free one must give up a little part of oneself.

Epi, is there another site you can use? You should email your entries to someone and have them post them to the blog for you. Hope all is going well!

Huh. That is weird. I just checked your blog yesterday to see how you were doing & wondered why there were no updates. Now I know I guess.

As some of you may know, I'm moving to China to study for a year, and for the sake of documenting my adventures and keeping in touch with friends and family, I've started a blog. Hopefully I'll have some worthy content on there eventually!

Further to my previous post, getjealous.com provides free travel blogs where you can plot your route on maps, upload pictures etc. My friend has now created one for his 10-month round-the-world trip.

I'll nudge him in that direction. He's never done anything like that before, so didn't really know where to start. Thanks!

Has anyone got any tips on where to write a travel blog? A friend of mine is about to go travelling for 10 months and I want him to keep us updated with pictures, maps, commentaries etc. Is there a template somewhere or do you think he'd have to design it all himself? Thanks.

Thirties and splendor: you should definitely use the converter to put your LJ's into PDF files. I've had my LJ for 8 years so I definitely wanted to keep everything. It only takes a few seconds to do a year of files and then you just save it to your computer. FYI, I found doing anymore than 2 years at once wouldn't work. The files are nice in that they include pics, moods, music, comments, and they seperate it into years. I had some fun re-reading the other night.
