Sybarite: Boyfriend and I were discussing this during Fridays show. I agree but it doesn't explain how she came back or where the new ship came from. I really enjoyed Fridays show it was very touching at the end with Kara and her father playing the piano together.

Theories I've read (mostly tv without pity forums) suggest Kara is a cylon/human hybrid, like Hera, with the damaged cylon 7, daniel, as her dad. That would explain her connection with Hera but not why she kept painting the supernova/eye of jupiter, which suggests something stretching much further back.

I dunno know about the lords of kobol: Roslin and Baltar in particular seem too worldly, despite their visions. To me it's more like they each have some sort of link or access to the visions etc. I do think some version of Kara was around back on Kobol though...

At this point I can't see how anyone following the series this far could not be obsessed, but maybe that's just me..

that's the mystery...i'm obsessed too... hera is some sort of golden child, being half human... i wanna know what the deal is w/ kara + her dad too.

pardon me for being geeky, but i wonder if the five, hera, rosiline, baltar, kara, and her dad are somehow the lords of kobol

don't know what it is, but i love the title, hera has six mommies

Okay--just watched episode 17 and my main question is: who wrote the song Kara played? If her father wrote it, why does Hera know it?

I am officially (even more)obsessed.

i keep being impressed w/bsg-- i love galactica (and hera) as it's metaphor for race mixing....and i love that the 5 are just as much of a mess as the humans.

...so fracking good.

Me again.

I've been (re-) watching season 2 and in epsiode 3 Roslyn is out of her mind coming off of the prophecy inducing drugs... Ellen Tigh comes to visit her, and when she leaves Roslayn gasps her name as if shocked. It's like she knew. blink.gif

So cool watching old epis when you know who the cylons are...

This half of season 4 is seriously bleak, but I like that it is really coming full circle. I've been watching old epis from season 2 and am struck by the consistency and continuity. It feels now that we've only had access to the leadership's and other elites' point of view and now we're seeing a more general reaction to the alliance with the cylons.

At the same time everyone's gotten seriously bitter, altho the current insurrection seems to be mobilsing people (e.g. the president) again...

Boyfriend is going with the clone theory as well but am with you Sybarite hoping it's something more spiritual. I was sad to see them leave earth so soon ( I understand why they left and of course they could go back). I felt there was more for them to learn from earth more digging to me done. I also thought that if the finale 4/5 stayed longer maybe more memories might come back to them. No matter how it ends I will sad to see it go sad.gif

I heard rumors but I guess Sci Fi green-lit a new BSG show no clue what it will be about. Anybody have any info on it ?

Lunia, one theory puts her as a clone (or cylon... but now we know the fifth I guess that's out) implanted with memories on Caprica: remember when she flashed back to wheh she was hooked up to all those machines? Has that been explained yet?

I think they'll go for a more spiritual explanation of Starbuck myself, a la 'arrow of Apollo' etc etc. Her lighting the pyre was such a haunting image/scene; I don't think I breathed out at all during it.

I found last week's epi so dark and apocalyptic, and really bringing back all the anti-cylon paranoia of Season 1.

I've just started watching Season 1 on dvd (thanx Netflix!), so I'm going to try hard to stay away from this thread. I have seen a few episodes of the show from Season 3, but was so confused without the backstory that I thought it was finally time for me to catch up with the show. I was hopelessly devoted to the 1970s show and had a major crush on Starbuck, but tv writing and acting has improved immeasurably since the '70s, so I love the complexity of the new version. I'm looking forward to catching up with it.

lananans I am now two episodes in to Season Four. I must admit the whole religion thing is giving me the shits, but it's so damn good to have new Battlestar that I can cope. I was however very pleased that the Admiral let Starbuck go to see if she could find Earth (I hope you've seen Episode Two.....) I was getting irked with Her Awesomeness, the President - Starbuck was always faithful to her visions and yet she wouldn't return the favour...What are your thoughts so far?

I'm behind too femikneesm!

I went away to Scotland on vacation in May and fell behind on season 4, so I'm just catching up now. I didn't watch it for a while and wasn't really caring about catching up but my boyfriend was just like IT'S SO GOOD YOU HAVE TO! So now I am. And its good.

What did you think of the end of season three?

Well I have finally finished season three and now have to wait for season four to start downloading. Am outraged that Australian airing is so, so far behind the US. I keep torturing myself by reading the spoilers in this thread....have. to. stop.
