Just back from Scotland, living in my crappy old apartment, working same place.

2. 5 years ago, what did you think you'd be doing now?

I don't make plans or think that far ahead.

Working same place unless I get independently wealthy. Or fired.

5. When you were a little kid, what did you want to do for a living?

Paleontologist, psychologist, rock star

6. What was the last book you read all the way through?

Pursuit, by Thomas Perry, a really well-done thriller.

7. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?

Eastern Promises

8. Did you like it as much as you thought you would?

It was a good deal gorier than I expected but really good.

9. What is your favourite piece of furniture in your home?

either my rocking chair or The Celestial Desk, which started its life as a school desk until it was painted bright colors and collaged with hand-painted sun, star, moon, comet images.

10. What is your favourite piece of clothing from your teenage years?

I don't still own any of it, but I had a batik shirt that I loved to pieces. Literally.

11. What was the first record you ever bought with your own money?

?? "with my own money" - my first record was Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which I probably bought with gift money.

12. What was the worst thing about your first paying job?

The low pay - otherwise I loved it (working in a florist shop.)

The cause (I work in women's health.)

Don't do MySpace.

Dark hair/eyes.

16. What does your hair look like right now?

Asymmetrical - shorter on the left than the right, smooth and sort of modified Betty Boop if I take the time to straighten it, wavy-curly if I don't.

17. What is your favourite insult?

Fuckwit, asshat, moron, dickweed, an enthusiastic "SUCK IT!" to people who piss me off (thank you, Kathy Griffin.)
