there are two of this thread now. really, i think some posters should have thread starting abilities revoked and the 50 (or dare i say it, even 100) pre-thread starting posts requirement for all newbs. why not? ONE good reason why not?

as much as I like the idea of having the number of posts before you can start a new thread started, if Steve wants to start something, and we all know how he throws his little tantrums, he's just going to post drivel ad naseum until he gets to the number of needed posts. So that means MORE of the same bible quotes and bad spelling.

We've seen it in here with trolls before, they will post and post and post, especially in the test thread, which I really don't get, until they get the required number of posts. It seems it would be asier to jsut delete the thread then five thousand posts then five thousand threads.

I thin revoking his thread starting ability is the thing to do. Or banning his ISP...

see, if his account gets deleted he'll have to post fifty or 100 times with pauses in between posts before he can start threads again. how terrific would that be? might put a cramp in his style and in the meantime we won't be quite so bombarded.

no other newbie needs to start threads that soon anyhow and if they do happen to have a terrific idea for one i'm sure it would get picked up by an older bustie in the community forum. makes for better communication all around anyhow dontcha think?

Yeah, I don't really get why they haven't banned his ISP yet. Not a criticism of them, I fully admit I'm ignorant of the technological issue here. Isn't there a way to get a new ISP?

it didn't happen before because the thought was he would just join again with another name somehow. now though there is a delay with posting and if there was a number-of-posts-before-thread-starting increase it really would to worth it to ban trollz when they pop up.

I guess I don't get why him changing his name would change the fact that his ISP was banned. Again, the limits of my technological knowledge have been reached.

from what i understand, debbie tried banning steve's isp, to no avail. i really don't get how that works technically, but i did have a discussion with her about it, and that is what she told me.

According to LeBoy, it's an IP address (I knew that much, just forgot) and it's usually a "dynamic address", meaning that your ISP (Internet Service Provider) randomly and regularly changes your IP address, so you can't really ban them. However, he said there is something you can do to ban the DNS number or MAC address.

I have been a lurker of this thread for a while... and I'm becoming increasingly disturbed by this recent wave of spam and trolls. Almost annoyed enough to stop coming to the lounge.
