So who is setting this up?
crazyoldcatlady
Apr 7 2008, 06:17 PM
i wouldn't have a problem organizing something, but i think we should do it different somehow. the "A gives to B, B gives to A" system is kinda played out. maybe something mor circuitous, more definite parameters?

I'd love to get in on this. I can only make CDs, though, no longer have a CD/tape player.

Apr 24 2008, 06:34 PM
ah alright now we's rollin.
i have yeas from the following:
me.
faerietails.
torch.
mermaidgirl.
starshine.
send me in a PM the following (if you haven't already):
-name or pseudonym
-mailing address
-who you've swapped with before, and if want to swap with them again or branch out
-how many CD's you're willing to make
-theme desired, if any (i.e., music to work out to, etc)
ALSO,
if you ladies are open to this idea, just to mix it up:
make one additional CD based on some random messed-up consensus theme (i.e. "music to post to BUST to whilst eating cheetos and texting your ex-lover"), and surprise send it to a randomly designated participant.
yea/nay on the latter idea? got any other ideas?

I haven't forgotten - will get a CD to each of you soon!

Enjoy Mermaidgirl. To blend the tracks into each other there are certain programs on the net where you can do this. I use a mixer myself, but that's not the only way you can make it happen.

Since this swap cannot get off the ground despite AP's most valiant efforts how about this. I registered a profile for us bust loungies over at playlist.com. You can add tunes that you've got to share to the list, as long as they are in the site's files already.
Our user name is bustradio and our password is bustradio.
Go to the site playlist.com and key in the info above to log in and it should take you to our profile.
Our radio appears on the far right hand side of the screen (I think it's labeled "Featured Playlist"). You turn it on by clicking the > button there.
Got there okay?
To add songs, do a search. When you find the right tune click the + sign to add it to our list.
Hope that sounds straightforward, let me know if it's not, I know I sometimes talk in a too roundabout way.
The topmost limit for a playlist is 200 songs before you have to start erasing songs to fit more, so I've limited my first addition to 3 songs, by a group called Camera Obscura. They're very 90's and from Scotland. If you like them it's easy to find more on the site.
so, listen away, add away my pretties

girl logic, you are mofu kick-ass cool. I llllllllloooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeee this idea.

Nov 16 2009, 12:18 PM
I love this idea too! So if I understand correctly by looking at the site, there is only one playlist that we can just add music to?
girl_logic
Nov 16 2009, 06:20 PM
Well actually now that I'm looking at the details it looks like once you sign you, you can create multiple playlists, so you could sign in as "bustradio" and then create a "rogue's playlist" or a "koffeewitch's playlist" as well as adding songs to the group playlist.

nice blog, nickclick.
this is a shameless bump for this thread b/c i'm rilly diggin' girl_logic's playlist online mixtape set up. i listen to music online pretty much any time i can (home and work), and i love new shit. (i always steal a peek at everyone's "what band currently excites you" because i'm a music whore).
it takes like 3 minutes to set up a playlist, so lurkers hop to it.
