Jewels: so you're taking Tindazole and it's working? There was a gal who posted here a while ago who was in Europe and was prescribed Tindazole under another name (I think). Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to the gyno next week here in France to try to see if they can actually cure my BV, which American doctors have been unable to.
mela
I was given a 2000mg single dose of flayl and a separate dosage for my bf. We were intimate on sunday and no smell at all however we used a condom and no oral sex. It is tuesday and everything seems okay however I am a bit skeptical as I have done this dosage before however over the course of four days. Also I never had him treated for BV.

sassy I was wondering since you had stated that you have been okay (since you took antibiotics for an ear infection) if you had been having sex? I am a bit scared to even have oral sex for fear of this thing returning.
:-(
sassy
Yes, I have had sex a couple of times. But I have basically sworn off oral sex, which saddens my bf because he loves it. I am pretty sure things will return back the BV, regardless. I try to be hopeful but I just can't anymore. We also use condoms. It does help keep BV away for longer, but it inevitably comes back in my case. I hope that you do better! I have never heard of a one dose of flagyl.

I am so frustrated right now.I have gone a week or two without discharge and today It seems as though its trying to come back.UGHHHHH!I am going crazy.Everytime I feel free and smell good, it catches on to my routine and comes back.I am seriously losing it.I am so PISSED!UGHHHHH!I FEEL LIKE SCREAMING.WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?I GIVE UP!I JUST GIVE UP AND DON'T CARE.SO WHAT IF I STINK AND HAVE CRAP COMING OUT OF MY CAT.SO WHAT IF I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HAVE KIDS.SO WHAT!I HATE BIRTH CONTROL.UGHHHHH!I NEED A HUG OR SOMEONE TO TALK TO!UGHHHH!ACUPUNTURE MIGHT BE MY ONLY AND LAST RESORT :-(
honey
HELLO EVERYONE HOPE THIS HELP GO TO noprescriptiondrugs.com THEY HAVE ALL YOU NEED FOR B.V. THE COST IS NOT TO BAD WHEN I GET SOME MONEY I WILL ORDER ME SOME.
jewelscando
I took the Tindazole two days ago. I won't know if it worked until I have sex. I'm having alot of discharge, but I'm assuming that's the b.v. coming out of me. Tindazole only works for me every other time, but the headaches you get with it, almost is not worth it.
sassy
Even when I don't have BV, I have a lot of discharge...I guess I'm just blessed that way. Blah.

Also, monistat makes these little feminine wipes that come 15 individual ones per box. They are useful if you feel like odor is getting bad or if you just want to stay clean before and after sex. I like them. Just thought I would mention it. You can see them here:

does anyone know what's in that jamu stick? it sounds like it might be made of alum to me, absorbs liquid, tightens and eliminates odor. alum is NOT something that i would want to put up my snatch, or anywhere else on my body for that matter.
if it's made of some other amazing natural thing i'll order one, but i'll take it to the gyno for advice before i put it up there. seems a bit scary to me.

How safe is it to buy medication off the internet?
any suggestions would be great because I am desperate :-(

neverending: I feel sorry for all of us who is going through this horror. I wish i could tell you a miracle cure but I can't. This jinx has damaged relationships with my family and boyfriend. He wants to marry me. Instead of telling him how excited i am about marriage. I am scared to death.I try to push him away because this is so embarassing. HOw can I possibly explain this to him. I've asked him if i smell funny. Of course he denied it. He prob ably doesnt want to hurt my feelings. I push away everyone in my family. I dont go to family functions. So trust me if you think youre alone. You're definitely not theres people like me who's worse. Overtime I became emotionally depressed. self conscious. Its freaking disgusting.

Oh yeah about buying medication online. I dont think you should buy offline. You should go to see your doctor to get pcos testing done. You migh tthink im crazy but I plan to go see a urologist to check my kidenys/ bladder and gyn for my uterus. Im going all out this summer. I hope i find something to help.

P.S. Hows the jamu stick working? Have you tried the soap?
jewelscando
I've ordered all my meds online however I went through 1800pharmacy.com and they are no longer in business. I had no problems with them, in fact they all worked. So, now I'm just scared because the only place to buy what we need is out of the Country, and that in itself scares me. So, I think I will go to the doctor myself, however, there will be no uterus checking, since mine went in the trash a few years ago! ')

I found this site, and ordered the Metronidazole
http://www.my-drugs.com/flagyl.shtml Hopefully it will get here soon!!

I made some research with the help of my Japanese friend and what I found out about the Jamu Herbal Stick is incredible! Its sold at this website for 4,800 yen or US$43.00. Heres the Japanese website in Japan.
http://mtislet.com/love/goods/jamu.html
I got the same thing on eBay at half the price. It seems that Japanese women have been using this Jamu Stick for a while now. It has worked for me and my friends. My Jap. friend have been using the Jamu Herbal Stick for many years and myself about 2 months now..Just made another order of 5 sticks for friends..(Two for myself :-)..)
neverending
precious83:Thanks for the reply :-) somtimes I think I am going to lose it because i've been dealing with this for a long time.I feel like doctors don't care about our condition; just our insurance.I am so desperate and sad because
I can't fully enjoy my life.I don't have any friends and I stay away from my family because I feel shame.I overheard someone say something about sardines and I just had that feeling they were talking about me.Even if this goes away for good I don't think I will ever be the same.
I've been made fun so much that I don't like being around people.I was a very strong person before this and I am so sensitive to everything now.I never knew words could hurt as much as they do.If this goes away for good i'm going to write a book about my experience anybody want to join in?

precious83
neverending: I can relate to everything that you said. Everyone handles situations differently. Over time most people will become self conscious and paranoid.Unlike you I've become very tough/ brutal like. You go through different stages. You try to find a damn cure. Then you start to feel sorry for yourself and you expect everyone else to sympathize. But they don't feel sorry for you. I feel like its me against the world. I can honestly tell you i will stick my foot up someones ass if they try to make me feel bad.You have to be a strong because if you let them get to you. You will start to hate yourself.Of course I break sometimes but i dont give any body the pleasure of seeing me cry. I had bv before i started having sex. It wasnt sexually transmitted to me. I never had an std in my life. HIV free. I agree with you on never being the same again even if it does go away for good.
It can really ruin someones life. The obsession alone drives me crazy. I sympathize for you. I don't wish this on my enemy. They would commit suicide a long time ago.
I know you dont like going to the doctors but its our only hope. personally doctors dont like me lol. I ask them many questions. If they dont tell me what i want to hear.I get upset. This is my health. I want to know if i have liver/kidney problems. hormonal imbalance etc.Girl you have to tell them you want tests done. I will threaten that I will sue them if they dont give me answers because I cant diagnose myself anymore. I need to know what heck is wrong with me.You should do the same. Is the jamu stick still working?
hmmm
hi everyone., am feeling everyone's pain, i guess i'm so lucky not to have a smell. Just a discharge, makes me feel ungrateful. My boyfriend complained about the discharge, said it was returning and I thought I felt bad but you guys make me know I don't have things half as bad. I'm trying a local bush now called neem, tastes awful, awful, awful, but I don't know what I wouldn't drink right now. I live on a small island in the caribbean and I had to travel overseas for treatment. we don't even have a BV test here. I feel for you guys because I remeber when my boyfriend wouldn't sleep with me for two years because of this thing he thought I was having so I know the friction it causes, makes u almost suicidal. I've prayed so much and I keep on praying to God to deliver from this thing but like I keep saying I'm so thankful to God I don;t have this scent.will let you know if this bush works for me, it worked for a friend of mine but all she had is discharge as well. Take care and keep strong and remember it always looks better in the morning.
neverending
Precious83:The Jamu stick does a good job in keeping the smell away.I use it every 3 days but the down side to it is that sometimes it will wear out before the end of the third day and the smell comes back. It's a good product to use and I like it but it's not a cure and that is what I want! Some women can even go a week without having to insert it again.(everyone is different)Thanks for the reply I really needed that to stay motivated :-)

I also want to let everyone know that I have been going to the other B.V. boards to find a cure and I noticed that one board is on to something. Here is what they have come up with:
http://curezone.com/blogs/c/c.asp?d=8001
and they also know that there is a new drug called BufferGel that is targeted at people(US) with chronic B.V. AND IT IS NOW GETTING APPROVED BY THE FDA but I don't know how true that is so don't get your hopes up!
Hope this helps :-)

honey
Hi i just used my jamu stick and had a hard time getting it out. Has this had to anyone?
jewelscando
Neverending, didn't like the site you sent us too. I love this one. It's easier to navigate through. I didn't find anything on there about what you are talking about.
joylove
honey...I think you may have inserted too deep dear..just 3/4 in will do and I normally do it lying down and relax. You guys should also try the Oak Gall Foam wash. It has herbal properties that made me feel dryer and almost no odour..I use this during shower and when I'm in a hurry..
neverending
jewelscando:This is what I wanted you guys to see.It seems as though 4 of the girls on that site has gotten rid of B.V. and one girl got rid of the smell but still has the discharge. All I'm saying is that it is worth a try. Here is what one girl said:
As close to a cure as I need

As far as I can tell, I have come as close to finding a cure as I needed to. I will consider any further treatments to simply be a maintenance issue.
Since I began this blog I have used a Vitamin C treatment twice as mentioned in these pages and I am discharge and odor free. I can thankfully, have sex again without having to worry about anything.

I don't know if I'm 100% back to normal or not but I do know that I have found MUCH relief compared to how things were 6 months ago.

I am concluding this blog with this message.

They have also come up with apple cider vinegar and oregano oil;they say it works to clean out your digestive tract.

I received my Jamu Stick 2 days ago and started using it that evening.(Can't wait!) I must tell you girls that I am astonished by this Jamu Stick! My overflowing discharge was almost gone! Now after 2 days, I feel really good and NO MORE Smelly odour! I wil wait another week to see how good the Jamu Stick is and may recommend my mom to use it. The Oak Gall Foam works well too. Its use as a foam wash during shower just for my private part.I can feel the difference. Thank you joylove for your great recommendations. Just to pass this good tip for the rest of "us" just click the link here on eBay:

Hello Everyone,

I am still BV free since the doctor presrcibed the Falgyl. I have only had sex once (this past sunday) since then (with a condom no oral). I keep smelling myself to see if it has come back but in all honesty I dont even know what is a healthy smell anymore. It sucks. My doctor also says my cervical dyplasia is very mild therefore she says we will do another pap in 3 months. This jamu stick sounds like it's the only viable option at this point. I think I will order one too and have it in the event of another course of BV. Discharge is something I have always had so for me the discharge is not such a big deal it is the smell returning that worries me.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Also neverending when I went to the doctor ad spoke to her about my bad experience on seansonale and me not having this issue till I was on BC pills she chuckled and said as soon as a woman stops taking the pills the body resumes back to how it was before the pills. I don't know about that being true, I would imagine it taking sometime however docs don't know it all.

Neverending, thank you. I just couldn't find anything on it myself, but thanks for giving me the details. Does anybody know where we can buy the Vitamin C? I really want to try this, but what kind do you buy and where?? Does it have to be a special blend?
sassy
jewels...I found the post and I think the girl said she just got vitamin C in the form of tablets at walmart.
neverending
I Bought my vitamin C at Walmart.I got the Spring Valley Natural 500mg without coating.Make sure It has ascorbic acid listed in the ingredients.I put one tablet next to my cervix and let it dissolve.I did'nt use the Jamu stick because I wanted to try this method of treatment. When I got up this morning I went to the bathroom to check things out and I did'nt have a smell or discharge(knock on wood)I just put another one in this morning (because they said try it for 2 days) and I will let you guys know what happens.

:-)
jewelscando
So, what if you don't have a cervix?? Where do you put it??
neverending
jewelscando: Oh my!I have no clue what you should do.I guess you would just stick it in and hope for the best.I'm sorry I'm not a bit of help on this issue. Please let me know how everything goes!
jewelscando
lol, yeah that's where I'm a little different from the rest. I had a hysterectomy about 4 or 5 yrs ago. And this is when my b.v. started. So, when ever I use anything vaginal it's a bit scary cause you never really know exactly where it's going!!
neverending
I've been doing research on this vitamin C stuff and I have come up with something good:

Vitamin C applied vaginally has the ability to increase the acidity of the vagina, potentially inhibiting the growth of bacteria associated with BV. The new study investigated the effect of intravaginal administration of vitamin C in 91 women with BV. The women were assigned to receive either a placebo or 250 mg of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) per day for six days. The participants were instructed to insert one tablet vaginally each night before bed. The presence of BV and related symptoms was assessed at the beginning of the study, and one and two weeks after the treatment was discontinued.

One week after treatment, BV infections had resolved in significantly more women who received vitamin C than in those women who took the placebo. Fishy odor and the numbers of harmful bacteria and bacteria-laden cells decreased significantly in the group receiving vitamin C compared with the placebo group. Lactobacillus concentrations increased significantly after treatment with vitamin C, indicating a positive change in the flora of the vagina. In addition, significantly more women in the vitamin C group than in the placebo group had an increase in vaginal acidity, indicating that vitamin C produced an environment less suitable for the growth of harmful bacteria. There were no significant differences between groups with respect to vaginal itching and discharge.

The vitamin C used in this study was a time-release formulation designed to provide extended contact of the vitamin with the vaginal tissue and to reduce irritation. Vitamin C treatment was generally well tolerated; two cases of yeast infections were the only adverse events reported. Buffered forms of vitamin C would not have the same effect as the acidic form used in this study. In addition, many vitamin C preparations contain binders and fillers that may render the product unsuitable for intravaginal use. Consulting with a healthcare professional trained in nutritional medicine is advisable before starting treatment.

I ordered the Jamu stick on the 11th, and I'm waiting on it to get here.

In the mean time, I had some natural cider vinegar (unpasteurized--complete with the "mother" still in there--which, if you don't know are the actual micro organisms that turn alcohol into vinegar) in my cabinet.

I got fed completely up with this damned discharge/odor, so I mixed up some STRONG cider vinegar douche, and used that. Once a day. STRONG, I'm telling you!

I lost the odor after two days, and the discharge is now back to normal.

I wonder if the antiseptic strength of the mixture has just killed off all the little bastards up there?

Surely not...nah...I ain't that lucky!
pepper
well, you don't want to kill off ALL the little bastards in there, you need a healthy level.

i still want to know if that jamu stick is made of alum or not, anyone?
jewelscando
ok, I bought the vitamin C today, so I will let you all know how it works. My b.v. is gone due to the metro gel and Tindazole. So, maybe the Vitamin C will be preventative?? We will see.
jewelscando
Quick update. Vitamin C burns like a bad yeast infection!!!!! I'ts only been up there for a little bit and it's burning!!! Had some weird brown stuff come out, (remember I don't have periods) so, not sure what the hell that was. Anyways, I'll give u another update tomorrow!
neverending
jewelscando:Mine burned at first but on the 2nd day everything went away (No odor/No discharge )Then I got super happy and I said "Let me do it for another day just to make sure it's gone" and guess what?I got a freakin yeast infection.Go figure!I guess two days is enough because it is a harsh treatment. So, I'm taking primal defense and it seems like it's trying to balance itself again.I'm just glad I don't have B.V. because yeast is much easier to handle. Now all I have to do is balance things out.
jewelscando
Burning went away pretty quickly. I will do one more tonight then leave it alone for a few days. I read that too much will cause a yeast infection, so I will only do it tonight then that's it. Would it be to much to take one by mouth also??
joylove
The Jamu Herbal Stick is the choice for me. What I know is that it really helped me got rid of the bad odour and cleared my excessive white discharge. Its not a cure but it does what it's meant to do and most importantly, I'm happy with the results and I can see our friend turnip has seen results too. As I have said in my earlier thread, my Japanese friend recommended me the Jamu Herbal Stick. She has been using the Jamu Stck for many years and from what she said, she was recommended by her friend who visited Bali and got some back into Japan. My advise to all who are looking for somekind of answers, I say, give the Jamu Stick a try. My doctor could not help me with my odour and excessive discharge but with my friends help, I now need not worry so much about my "problem" now.
jewelscando
Ok everyone, here's a warning on the Vitamin C. I used one last night, and remember I said I saw a little blood, besides the burning like it was on fire. Well today, about 3 hours ago, I went to the bathroom, and there was more blood. I had a Hysterectomy 4 or 5yrs ago, so, I don't have periods. I have no clue where the bleeding could have come from, being that I don't have a Uterus or a Cervix. I only have my ovaries. So, I'm going to give it another day or so and see if the bleeding stops. If not, I'll head to the DR. My mother said it could be that I have a tear, but, I haven't had sex going on two weeks, so I can't imagine where the tear would have come from. Anyways, has anybody else experienced this with the Vitamin C?? I'll keep you all posted.
sassy
jewels...maybe the vitamin C is just so harsh that it sort of burned the inside of your vagina, thus the blood?
neverending
jewelscando:I'm sorry to hear that!I had a little blood when I first started but it was not something that I was worried about.Maybe it's inflammation because of the B.V. thats been there.

As for me I've been doing pretty good.I have not had any odor and I have'nt even used my Jamu stick In many days.I did get a chunky discharge but that quickly went away. I will continue to let you know how it goes.Keep :-)ing!One day it will all be over because it just too many people out there just like us.They have to find a cure!
turnip
After my last posting, I am now almost free of my over-flowing odour white discharge. This Jamu stick has helped me and I'm not gonna waste any more time looking for other herbal solution for my problem. I have also recommended my mom to use the Jamu stick and some friends have joined me using this stuff.(They bought their own)
I see that some of you are trying to use vitamin C? Good luck!
sassy
Uh...just so you guys know...turnip and joylove are spammers just trying to get everyone on here to buy the Jamu Stick. You can even check turnip's email address and see that it is the same as the seller's on ebay-surfy88@yahoo.com. I've still heard some good things about the stick but this pisses me off to no end. All the women on here take their problem very seriously and it isn't fair to have people pushing products on us like this. It's right up there with the Enzara emails I still get! GRR!

Thanks Sassy, I was just about to purchase the jamu stick. Now how do I know if it really works?
honey
SASSY YOUR RIGHT IT IS THE SAME E-MAIL THANK's
