How long ago did you have your daughter? Did you mention it to your OB/GYN? Do you have any other symptoms besides the itch? Maybe a rash? Stinging or burning?

After browsing through some mommy blogs and forums, it seems like a postpartum vaginal itch is pretty common for one reason or another. Some of them had skin disorders, others had itching due to stitches, some had UTI's etc.

You can still try using soothing remedies to reduce the itch such as witch hazel compresses, cold compresses, anti-itch creams, colloidal oatmeal and sitz baths.

If none of that works, then it's probably something more serious that requires medical intervention.

Thank you so much for that wonderful info. I had my daughter 10 months ago so it's been going on for a bit. I haven't gone to my ob because each time I say I'm going to go the itchiness goes away. There doesn't seem to be a rash but there is stinging and burning after the scratching. sad.gif. If none of those suggestions provide relief then yup, I better go get that vajean checked. biggrin.gif. I didn't have this when I had my son but then again the body changes, right? I really appreciate your help. Thanks! Xoxo
