My ultimate of all guilties....here goes.....Rock of Love. I don't know what it is, it's awful but I can't stop watching. If TV is a drug, Rock of Love is the dirtiest crack you can find.

I've also been known to spread cream cheese and pesto on saltines, sooo good.

I Would Do Anything For Love by Meatloaf because it reminds me of being a little kid enthralled by all the instruments and drama of the song

- ooh I squealed like a little girl when I saw that new (I think phone?) commercial with Meatloaf singing "Let me sleep on it". I then immediately called my Mom, because we share a guilty love of Meatloaf (deeply rooted in our not so guilty love of Rocky Horror).
and cream cheese is delicious on crackers.

Guilty- I'm completely addicted to John & Kate plus 8. Not exactly dirty crack, but reality TV nonetheless. I would record it if I could (sooo guilty).

thanks for the recipe, Pugs!

Don't worry Pugs. My lips are sealed.

Speaking of lips - how much fun was Daisy "Trainwreck" De La Hoya?

OMD.

yep.

When I'm in a certain mood, True can make me cry. I also still love ABC and if I'm really going for obscure, pastoral new wave, I'll pull out my Prefab Sprout tapes. Psychedelic Furs are another one, but I guess they wouldn't be considered a guilty pleasure, per se... no? ...And what about Blancmange?
deschatsrouge
Fast food. I keep seeing those cod damned big mac commercials, Yesterday I gave in.

New season, please. Now.

OMG, thirtiesgirl - "Living on the Ceiling" is one of those songs that randomly gets stuck in my head now and then...yes.

to add to it - Shriekback.

and Jellyfish. Although Jellyfish is becoming not quite such a guilty pleasure - I've gotten quite a few people hooked on them.

this is coming from a girl who listens to bands like Meshuggah, An Albatross, Isis, Mastodon, The Melvins, etc etc on a regular basis. But I don't really care. biggrin.gif

I've just finished the second twilight book. I'm 21, I shouldn't be reading "young adult fiction".
I find myself at some points just wanting to scream at how irritating some of it is and how TERRIBLE the dialogue is but for some reason I just have a major hard on for that trash. Help me busties HELP ME!

I don't know jellyfish, but ABC was like a smutty, slutty, bubblegum affirmation of everything I was in high school (FTR, an ear-piercing, leg-warmer-wearing, self-loathing FREAK).

What's not to love about "My name is Eden, and I want you... to kiss... my... snatch"?

Not to mention that Martin Fry was as close to a full-on boy crush as I ever had.

I love catalouges. Especially Christmas catalouges. I was so excited the other day when I got Crate & Barrel, CB2, and American Girl Doll Christmas catalouges all on the same day. laugh.gif
crazyoldcatlady
heee heeee kitten; i'me getting all the old catalgoues from my previous tenant (C&B and pottery barn and outdoor gear stuff) and i keep 'em smile.gif but really, the more absurd or cheesy, the better (pet outfits???)
deschatsrouge
I love looking at the food catalog's I get. I get Liberty Orchards and Swiss Colony. I rarely ever buy from them but keep them around to look at like porn.
lananans
I love Christmas crafty magazines. martha stewart, Chatelaine (which is Canadian, so some of you may not know it), etc etc. I saw Vogue Knitting today in my bookstore. I don't knit, and the magazine was nine dollars, but I was tempted to buy it, with the IRRATIONAL logic that maybe, I would learn to knit as a result. GUILTY PLEASURE!!!!
crazyoldcatlady
got you topped, lananans. i bought an $11 crafty halloween magazine. i don't even do anything crafty! i just like lookin' at the pictures........

my guilty pleasure of the moment would have to be this sinfully sweet, and delicious honeybun cake!!!! It's my mother's favorite cake to make. And my lord, it's so good it has to be terrible for you! No it's not made from honeybuns, its an actual cake with a buttery, sugary glaze.

Placing things like "brush teeth" on To Do lists. Which facilitates the Crossing-of-Things-Off-Ness.

I know! I actually put "take a shower" on my list sometimes just so that I can cross it off later, I swear to god. Mr. Olyhater teases me about making me a To Do list that has things I have already done that day on it just so that I can cross things off of it.

Okay, since I've been downloading music most of the day my music guilty pleasure.

Money for Nothing - Dire Straights

Wanted, Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi I'm not going to lie, I fucking love this song, and I always heckled it, but deep down I hearted it.

Milkshake - Kelis

John Wayne! I love the DUKE!

Martha Stewart, except her show, love the magazines and cookbooks, but not really her show.

SpongeBob SquarePants. Hee.

Funnel cakes!!!!!

I went to Big Lots and bought a kit for six dollars. My sister and I are going to make them when the parents go to bed.

haha, thats aweome. I also find myself listening to bon jovi, probably cos my Mom used to listen to it way back in those Young Guns days - and that milkshake song (along with Kelis' "Bossy") are both fun times.

Lastnight, I youtubed November Rain and then just couldn't stop. Slash's solos in music videos are just too much, I both love them, but feel terribly embarrassed for him cos its nearly 2009 now. He probably doesn't care though, and I guess that's the way it should be. I have a weird fascination with late 80s/early 90s LA music scene. *youtubes a bunch of really old Red hot Chili Peppers and loves it*

CH: Rogueboy loves this song. It is on Rockband and when we bought it he was very much obsessed. It was pretty much all he would play. I didn't even think he liked Bon Jovi until that point but they are a guilty pleasure of mine as well, so I understand.

My all-time biggest guilty pleasure is Savage Garden. I just can't help it. Ever since junior high I have been in love. Their self-titled album was the first one I ever adored all the way through will all my little pre-teened heart.
deschatsrouge
I will be indulging in home made tres leches cake later on after presents and veeeery bad singing from the fam.

Right now? I have a whole box of truffles to myself given to me by my mother in law. Chocolate = does not share well with others.
twelve_percent
Yeah, Deschatsrouge really doesn't share well when it comes to chocolate! The other night she wouldn't share a reeses. It basically ruined my night. Thanks sis! lol, jk.

My guilty pleasure is PRINCE!!! He makes my vagina giggle!

Prince is one of mine as well, twelve_percent! I don't know what it is about him; I just love him. So many people don't get it. "I Would Die For U" and "Kiss" are such fun songs!

Persiflager
*waves hello sheepishly*

Reading the horoscopes at the back of the free papers for a giggle - I get so cross with people who believe in such nonsense, yet can't stop looking and mocking the creative vagueness.

ETA: The Proclaimers '500 miles' song. I actually think the words are romantic!
yuefie
Fruity Pebbles. I usually eat cereals such as Barbara's Shredded Spoonfuls (a healthier version of Life) or something loaded with fiber. But damnit if Fruity Pebbles aren't my weakness. I never buy them but if someone else does, I have to have a bowl. It goes back to childhood when my mom would only buy Cheerios or Cornflakes, but when I visted my dad on weekends he'd buy Fruity Pebbles.

Cheese. All sorts of cheese. Oh, but especially Trader Joe's Carmelized Onion Cheddar.

Bumble & Bumble Curl Concious shampoo & conditioner. How I can justify the price, I don't know. But I love the way it leaves my curls so soft.

Justin Timberlake. Need I say more?
foryoursplendor
There is this shop where I live called Sugar Mountain. It sells all kinds of crazy candies from the 80s that are difficult to find anywhere else. It brings me back, makes me laugh... but its also going to give me diabetes if I keep going.
