Apr 27 2006, 07:43 PM
Actually she posted in the NYC thread and Life After Capitalism- what a nut!
Apr 27 2006, 07:45 PM
awesome. i mean, bleh bleh bleh..., NYC, and life after capitalism threads on bust are obviously the people you need to target to start a boycott. and remember...
"Boycott Bust! By JANE" :P
Apr 27 2006, 07:45 PM
Hmmpg, its all the same thing. Why would anyone want to read Jane anyway? In my opinion it is an absolutely terrible magazine, it amuses me when they try to be all hip and talk about pussy this and pussy that, then talk about how you should doll yourself up for a man. Plus the articles are so horrible written, yuckers.
Apr 27 2006, 08:08 PM
Jane is trash end of story
Apr 27 2006, 09:35 PM
Oh, fuck off, bustgoesbust. Nobody cares. Nobody. Time to let go and move on now. I can recommend a therapist.
I mean, you know, when someone posts crap like this, it's like watching people bicker at a strata council meeting: nothing but small minds, personalizing everything. Why can't people get over themselves? Honestly.
May 8 2006, 08:29 AM
May 8 2006, 01:53 PM
I imagine that will go away when Bust gets the new software
May 8 2006, 06:30 PM
ah, but culturehandy, did you notice the last date that troll posted?
i have to say, whoever came up with dollar troll$ is my bustie-hero
May 8 2006, 06:48 PM
oh yes, the dollar campaign was a fab idea!
May 19 2006, 02:30 PM
I suspect that, as the lovely bunnyb pointed out, consciencefree7 is a new incarnation of our (un)favorite rat bastid troll. With that in mind, I feel it's time we start up our troll dontaion drive again and specifically begin making new donations in $teves name. I've already done so. As broke as I've been, it needed to be done. I can't let that stop me, so I gave what I could. Thanks liljesusdude or should I say "consciencefree7"? Oh and WTF is up with "free_spirit"? Only two posts ever, one saying hi to the newbies and the other one to answer cf7's post, naming our beloved doodlebug. I think that screams of another one of $teve's/4j4e'/scf7's alter egos too.
May 19 2006, 04:03 PM
Okay, that whole thing was really wierd! Doesn't he have anything better to do? Someone else the cyber stalk? Volunteer work for a local church? Anything?
May 19 2006, 05:57 PM
forgive my being new enough to not understand "troll donation drive"..... can I get the quick and painless on it so I might do my part to rid us of this pathetic excuse for a person?
May 19 2006, 06:43 PM
We donate to Planned Parenthood or some other charity that works against the political/social beliefs of the tr**l for every post they make. Usually it's just a small amount- 25 cents per post, maybe a dollar. Depends how prolific the tr**l is.
I don't remember if this is what specifically inspired it, but I know there was a PP clininc who did a donation drive where people pledged a certain amount of $ for every anti-choice protester outside the clinic on a certain day. They don't like to have $ donated in their names (literally or figuratively) so, I think it was very successful and kept them away for awhile after they did it.
May 20 2006, 10:50 AM
So the donation is made in the name of the tr**l? How delightful, if that is the case.
How is this done? I'd be happy to help out....
May 20 2006, 01:29 PM
voodoo, if you want to make a donation in someone's name, just put a little note in with your cheque or money order when you send it. This guy's name is Steven Katzner. You just pick the pro-choice organization you like and send the money. Lots of folks are donating to groups that take political action right now. I donate to the Pro-Choice Action Network (Pro-CAN), because it's Canadian (as am I) and political.
As for the whole thread...I really don't care. If it is Katzner/4jesus/ste, the guy is either a child, or mentally ill.
Anyway, it was good to see that post again, because it was really therapeutic to write, and also, I hope its re-posting serves as a good message to others that we ALL feel effed up from time to time, no matter who we are, and it's okay.
May 21 2006, 04:26 PM
was that creepy ltas troll part of the dollar troll$ campaign, too? he appears to have made a comeback, and i thought i'd let you guys know in case he was getting donations made in his name, too
May 21 2006, 04:42 PM
did anyone else get a PM from the numbnuts dude? he seems harmless, but it squicked me out a bit, since I didn't really contribute anything to his little discussion...
May 21 2006, 05:39 PM
oh, it turns out I did too, Lucizoe. I think he doesn't realise where he is, and has poor communication skills. Anyway I promise not to talk to him anymore.
I came in here to say that also in that thread, I just got quite a laugh. Demonlover is "back" (did it ever leave?) and thinks that I personally archive his posts!
Why would I download the rantings of some weirdo onto my harddrive? Why, because apparently they make me hot of course!!
May 22 2006, 03:50 PM
Oh, yay! There's a new one AND it's a woman, presumably! I'm sending my donations to Bitch Magazine *shhhh* I love Bust, but Bitch needs my money more
s/he's in media whores, in the commercials thread, ranting about how we feminazis are pissing on the poor mens
*edited because I can't type
May 22 2006, 04:42 PM
ooh, good idea lucizoe! I think I may join you in donating to Bitch.
May 22 2006, 04:51 PM
Dude, who uses the word feminazi anymore? I am writing/mailing a cheque ASAP. I'll gladly kick down my hard earned sixty-eight cents to a man's dollar in the name of tr**l bucks.
May 22 2006, 08:02 PM
Has anyone else seen the jamu stick thread in our bodies our hells? This spammer has been posting in the BV thread for weeks..over and over agin nothing but the joys of the Jamu stick...and oh by the way, buy it off ebay for half price from this seller I know! Now she has created a whole thread to the wonders of the jamu stick.
May 23 2006, 02:25 AM
Yawn. It's back in Media Hell, Lucizoe. I love how "she" reiterates that "she" isn't trying to upset anybody. "She" picks a nasty, unpleasant name, tries to show us "logical" "facts", but "she" doesn't want to piss anybody off? PUH-LEEZE. "Her" whole goal is to be inflammatory. Grrrrr. Not to mention that her "fiance" is obviously a saint if he's putting up with her. School's out, right? This another jackass teenage boy getting his jollies. Cripes. I am so tired of buttwads.
May 23 2006, 04:20 AM
That one just wants attention. Quite desperately. Hopefully no well-meaning noobs will come along and give that to "her."
May 23 2006, 06:52 AM
What the hell is with the troll PMs? Seriously. I don't get PMs from anyone, with a few exceptions, and in the last week I've gotten two trolls soliciting my attention. Blessed or cursed? Can I count those towards donations?
Don't you ever just want to enfold them in your arms and bring them to the light? Sometimes I feel kind like that...
May 23 2006, 09:37 AM
The troll donation thing was my idea. It was a fit of inspiration and since I suspect I'll never, ever have one again, I'm putting away my modesty and claiming it as my own. Besides I've had a crappy day.Yeah, I know it's unbecoming of me, but it's been a really, really crappy day.
I think it's a great idea to broaden out the donations, though. The initial post was in response to the repeated liljesusdude posts, esp in threads about abortion rights, but hey, I'm all for the idea including general feminist causes.
May 23 2006, 10:17 AM
Is it possible to set up some type of site for this or a paypal fund that we could send money to? Like just for this site? It might be cool to see how much money we can all raise together. Or are people happy donating to the cause of their choice?
Great job Anoushh!!!! This really was such a wonderful idea, and it clearly made an impact on that troll. Wonderful activism, very creative, and a way to deal with icky people without having to engage in pointless dialogue with them.
May 23 2006, 07:45 PM
Yeah, it was a great idea!
That feminazi one seems like someone just trying to pick fights - there's no internal consistency in its arguments, it's just trying to push people's buttons.
May 23 2006, 10:28 PM
a ste clone is over in ltas. seems to have forgotten that all his posts do is raise money for organizations he's against
May 24 2006, 01:03 AM
Oh bollocks, here we go, again. I sooooooo can't wait for new software on this site, hopefully with an 'ignore' option.
May 24 2006, 06:58 AM
I know I know I posted (for shame ch! *slaps self on wrist*), but I had to remind it of the donation drive. I will let the thread die now.
May 24 2006, 07:04 AM
Write those cheques, lovlies, write those cheques. I just toddled mine on down to the post so they go out first thing. We shall overcome!
May 24 2006, 03:22 PM
Ok..I know I should have posted in her instead of in the thread....I wish there was some way we could sneak up on the unsuspecting trolls, like in a dark alley, throw a bag over thier heads and drag them in here to quarentine them from the rest of the lounge.
May 24 2006, 04:34 PM
Oooh! A big post deserves a big donation, ladies!
May 24 2006, 05:03 PM
Wow. I'm like, so into Jesus now.
May 24 2006, 05:33 PM
Welcome back lil' jesus dude, welcome back. So nice to know that an even larger donation can and will be made in the name of Steve Katzner to Planned Parenthood. By the way, our resident troll sir 4j4e, we even have an LJ community set up for us evil feminists to join to keep track of the dontations made in your name, squeeee ;)
May 24 2006, 06:07 PM
ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching!!!
did ya miss us? we missed you ... like a hole in the head. Must have been all the talk about crucifixion in CG that brought you back to your loving church/temple/haven of feminism, lil' jesus dude.
go watch some south park.
May 24 2006, 06:27 PM
Yes we know it was you, we figured it out quite quickly. You're predictable like that.
eta: Powers That Be, WHERE is that ignore button?
May 24 2006, 06:27 PM
Thank you, Steve Katzner! Those charity donations make great write offs! I think next April I'll use my tax refund to go to the National Abortion Federation conference - I wonder where it'll be next year? So exciting to meet with other activists to improve women's access to safe abortion! And you, Steve Katzner, will have made it possible!
May 24 2006, 06:44 PM
Education for Choice is the organisation I'm donating to this time around. UK busties - remember to opt for Gift Aid so the Govt can match 26p to £1 of your donations!
Here's to Steve Katzner! What a generous guy he is!
May 24 2006, 06:49 PM
I had something to say about this asswipe but the Mr. says it was a little too harsh, even for here, so I won't post it but I'm thinking it anyway.....
I'll be donating to PP......
May 24 2006, 07:04 PM
I'm counting nine posts, so far (by simply looking at his profile - good way to keep a tally) so 9x donation amount to a very worthy cause.
eeek! 11 - he is post happy and on the way to funding his own planned parenthood organisation! Woot!
May 24 2006, 07:08 PM
True dat, satan's losing money every time you post, cause I'm taking the money I was going to the casinos with this weekend and givin' it to PP! $75, and I believe the name's Steve Katzner, right? I want to spell it correctly on the check....
May 24 2006, 07:17 PM
Oh GOD (I am not fish blaspheming today) he is going to bump every old thread of his so that ATWT is a trainwreck once more (it's been looking so interesting recently). Should he not be spending his precious time counting his rosary beads?
I keep smiling, however, as I'm looking forward to seeing the final tally of posts tomorrow so I can make my donation!
May 24 2006, 07:50 PM
Busting trolls, busting trolls, busting trolls!
May 24 2006, 09:11 PM
I think I counted 15 new posts from efilthorp, or whatever the hell he calls himself now.
May 24 2006, 09:12 PM
Wait, I just scrolled down and saw his post here - make that 20
May 25 2006, 01:23 AM
You know, I've got to give him one thing. I've meant for ages to donate to NARAL or some other pro-choice group, but never got around to it (though I did do some volunteer work years ago). But he motivated me to actually do it.
May 25 2006, 02:25 AM
He made 26 posts yesterday.
