now, aural, don't come down on jan. i think she had a good point. in the past this place was more interested in a sprawling discussion of lots of issues, for whatever reason, that's not been the case lately. sometimes i miss that two. i don't usually say anything, because i figure sooner or later that will change. the lounge is a living thing, and sometimes it needs to rest. no shame in that. i liked jan a lot. she actually reminded me of you, aural. i kinda appreciate someone who speaks their mind.

GT, somebody asked a question, I answered it, simple as that. Jan didn't think we were feminist enough, I quoted her. "Coming down on" Jan would have been pointing out that she went into a thread that was about positivity, vomited all over it, & then proceeded to derail it further by calling names & tossing about bullshit. If she truly wanted "feminist discourse", she should have stirred some up (As you pointed out.) in a thread that was about feminist discourse, not the MAS. I don't disagree that she may have had a point, I do disagree with the way she chose to express it by being bitchy/condescending in a thread where it was totally uncalled for when she had many other more suitable ones in which to do so.
