Threw out my back so food today has been scarce:
-green grapes and organic medium cheddar that I crawled to the fridge to rescue
-a fried egg, garlic, mayo, and hotsauce sandwich that my friend came over and made for me, and a plum that he brought
-a bunch of Lindt dark chocolate that the roommate's girlfriend brought me
So. Hungry.
So much pain.

i'm not eating as much as i used to eat before, because i'm taking these pills to lose weight (tonalin and hydroxycut) and they make me so nauseous! they say that i should eat after taking these pills so i won't get nauseous, but i don't have any appetite, so it kind of defeats the purpose

We had leftovers from Easter brunch at work. The ham was good, the sushi was pretty good as well. However, I tried a piece of the foie gras pate, and I almost died. It was so. frelling. gross. It tasted horrible. I popped a big chunk in my mouth and must have made the worst bad-taste-face because the butcher looked at me and said, "Did you just eat that nasty-ass pate?"
I wanted to spit it out, but I couldn't. I had to continue chewing and swallow that crud. Yucko.
The ham, though. The ham was perfect. It had some kind of dried fruit sauce on it, which was slightly sweet, and it was nice and tender and juicy. Yummo.
Dude. I am so hungry right now. Maybe there are some leftovers in the fridge.

Ooh, this is fun!
Yesterday: Fav breakfast - Toasted bagel with oodles of butter and cream cheese at this local diner where farmers come for their breakfasts (I recently moved from Toronto to the middle of farm country... well, small town anyway, I miss ethnic food but the diner stuff is cheap and fab).
Lunch: Indian food buffet. I was craving indian food so bad (see comment above) that I got JoyBoy to drive with me 45 minutes each way into the city (not Toronto) for indian food. I still haven't found anything as good as the indian food in T.O. I sometimes think of taking the 4 hour drive back there just to go to one particular restaurant.
Dinner: Frozen Lasagna from a box. JoyBoy and I had our dishwasher recently break - and we've been lazy about the huge pile of dishes in our sink, hence the eating out and frozen food when usually l *love* to cook.

Lately for breakfast every morning I've been eating toast with "Hemp Hearts" on top of it. Apparently it helps to aid in weight loss. Hemp Hearts are like Hemp seeds or something. Not too sure, my stepmother brought them home and told me they really work and to start eating them.
Does anyone know anything about this?

voodoo princess here.....
actually MaybeSparrow, it is recommended to eat 6 small meals a day and that still allows for small snacks, as the healthiest way to eat..... from what I see you are making good choices with your foods and you don't seem to be eating "too much"..... if you are actually that active as to work out 5 or 6 days a week, then of course you are going to be hungry because you are healthy, or becoming that way, and your metabolism is adjusting..... if you were just sitting about all day everyday, then that would be different but you sound to be doing OK to me..... Sounds like you are burning more than you consume and that is prime...... way to go!!!!!

Don't worry, we all do this, but its especially gross feeling when you do it first thing in the morning. Starting out on the wrong foot I guess...
One way is to replace sweets with fruit and yogurt. Sometimes I put a yogurt in the freezer for about half an hour and its like ice cream, I also eat lots of fruit. You get the sugar fix, but not such a sugar crash. You can put a little cool whip or Hershey's syrup on certain fruits like bananas and strawberries too. I wouldn't go cold turkey or you will end up binging later, but just try and substitute more healthy sweet things. Good Luck
