An art-punk explosion, courtesy of Free Blood.

Singles might be shy on commitment, but they can’t be beat for blasts of pure pleasure. So while this ace collection of Ms. Right Now moments from Free Blood may never text you again, they will funk you silly from midnight till morning. Here, you’ll find six tracks, plus five remixes, and two voices (Madeline Davy and ex-!!! member John Pugh) with one vision: a meat market of ideas colliding and creating one collective ass shake. Avert your ear holes if cohesion is your thing, as their anything-goes aesthetic approximates the atmospheres of sweaty Brooklyn warehouse parties and swank Manhattan art installations in equal measure. Off-kilter post-disco leanings dominate—think Arthur Russell and the Flying Lizards by way of Out Hud and Hot Chip—and the remixes play up the dub and the dance floor. It’s an art-punk explosion to which no sound system will be immune.
