Iowa City's Pieta Brown doesn't just play rooms. She fills each space with stories and makes it her own. I went to a public high school in California, where my freshman year sex ed course emphasized abstinence. I remember pretty clearly that a woman came in to warn us that even masturbating too much would make it difficult to fall in love. I think they were expecting it to go like this.  Luckily, I have awesome parents, and by that time I had seen Never Been Kissed enough times to know how sex ed was supposed to be. Most of us knew our teacher was either wildly ... Read More
Lifelong best friends Tara Karsian and Andrea Grano, the writers and producers of this first independent film, came up with the idea for BFFs accidentally, when Grano asked Karsian "What if you realized how in love with me you are?"
