BUST or BUST? WEST COAST Benefit Party Come raise a satin-gloved fist in support of old-style Hollywood glamour, drag queens, and the newly independent BUST Magazine. Wednesday, February 27, 2002 BUST Magazine is having a party to raise money for our printing bill, and to toast our emancipation from corporate publishing with an evening of burlesque-inspired cabaret.
You won't want to miss this cavalcade of sassy 'n classy performances featuring: --The incomparable Ann Magnuson and the fifteen Fellini-esque females of The Velvet Hammer burlesque troupe! -- The red-hot cabaret stylings of our opening songstress, Jackie Beat! - Plus Kate Valentine and The World Famous *BOB* of the NYC Va Va Voom Room posse!
But wait, there’s more! All guests will depart from our soiree with a goody bag chock full o’ loot from some of our xx-tra special sponsors.
The festivities commence on Saturday, March 30th, 2002 at Club 1650 (formerly Vinyl), 1650 Shrader (@ Hollywood), Hollywood, CA (323) 461-5889. Doors open at 7PM, Show starts at 8PM. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $25 and Special VIP tickets are available for $50, which include free drinks, hors d'oevres, and special seating. All ticket revenue will go towards the publishing and operating costs of BUST magazine, minus production expenses.
