Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has been relocated to a penal colony in Siberia to finish out her 2-year sentence.  Russian Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin confirmed her transfer to The Associated Press on Tuesday. Nadezhda is serving her sentence for “Hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” after the band staged an anti-government performance at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Since news on Nadezhda has been scarce since her disappearance three weeks ago, the Russian government is still pretty tight lipped on her health status in the Siberian prison.

As of today, Nadezhda has been reported as being at a Hospital in Siberia. The activist was on hunger strike against her previous prison, taking a stand against their apparent gruesome working conditions. Word is that Tolokonnikova suspended her strike before her sudden disappearance, but news on her wellbeing since her relocation, is not exactly out in the open. Here’s hoping that she is being treated for whatever injuries she has sustained, and hopefully we will find out more ASAP.

BBC has been providing current info on her status. you can follow them on twitter @BBCWorld
