Comedian Mike Birbiglia sure knows how to make people want to see a movie: by telling them they’re going to hate it.  Oh wait, he actually just went “over board” and you’ll probably love his new comedy Sleepwalk With Me. The "heartfelt comedy" will be especially great if it has half the wit and charisma of the Vulture exclusive short that debuted today.

Our current Boy Du Jour, Birbiglia, and his co-writer Ira Glass (from This American Life)  know how hard it is to take an indie film from one NYC theater to country-wide distribution, which is why they want you to come out and see it opening weekend. In the short, they promise to make it a memorable movie-going experience.  How? By doing whatever it takes,  including cleaning the bathroom!  And what can we say? Sold.  We love funny men who clean. 

Their post-screening Q&A session (for every showing!) swears to be so dazzling, so as to even put the movie itself to shame.  You can catch these unique screenings throughout the weekend of August 24^th in NYC, or head out to Chicago (for Glass) and LA (for Birbiglia) the following weekend. Go, because “you’re going to see the Q&A and you're going to be like why didn't they film that.” Yup, it’ll be that great. And if you’re lucky, Birgiglia and Glass will still be wearing their movie usher costumes (fingers crossed).
