We were convinced the brilliant-but-cancelled Veronica Mars would never get a proper conclusion, but it looks like our favorite sleuth will return very soon. After years of deliberation, Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell are taking action to get a movie off the ground. This morning, Thomas launched a Kickstarter to raise $2 million for the project, and while that may seem like a lot of money, diehard fans have been campaigning to bring Veronica back since the show's 2007 cancellation. Word of the campaign is spreading like wildfire and they've already raised over $700,000, so we're fairly positive this movie is happening.

Between this, the new season of Arrested Development, and the Bored to Death movie, it seems like all it takes to revive a cancelled show is an incredibly persistent fanbase. Thank god for the internet.

In the meantime, check out the season four trailer from a few years ago for an update on what Veronica's been up to.
