L.A. singer-songwriter AG (of the Rescues), industry giant Maia Sharp, and Missouri musician Garrison Starr are touring together, and, believe me, you want to see this show. AG,  Sharp, and Starr are all expert writers and performers who merge a variety of influences, including folk, pop, rock, and Americana, to create their own individual styles. I had the good luck to see them perform together at New York’s Rockwood Music Hall last Tuesday. Unlike ... Read More
Neko Case, the amazingly talented and soulful singer and songwriter, will be performing for FREE at the second annual Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival. Neko has developed a new sound all her own - a mix of country, gospel, torch, and pop. She has earned Grammy nominations and a huge fan base with her seven albums and EP. And now we get to enjoy her live for free! By the way, she is also featured on The Hunger Games soundtrack. The festival is a two-day outdoor ... Read More

Her folk/blues infused style is a refreshing change from what we've come to expect from your typical model-turned-musician. The very beautiful and talented Ms. Elson, featured in the BUST Music Issue, will be performing in New York ... Read More

Attention, fans of free concerts! The Jelly NYC Pool Parties need your help ASAP. According to the Open Space Alliance, Brooklyn's East River Park may not be available in 2010 for everyone's favorite free concert series. This year featured FREE performances by all of these incredible bands: Girl Talk, Dirty Projectors, Deerhunter, HEALTH, Fiery Furnaces, Grizzly Bear (Jay-Z went to that one, remember?) and many, many more. So if you're as bummed about this news as ... Read More
